Video: Coronation Street cast sing April Fool's theme tune

Coronation Street unveiled a new theme tune today. But don't worry, it's not for real. Today, is of course, April Fools Day. 

But still, the theme tune is worth a little watch via the wonders of YouTube below.  It starts with an introduction from Coronation Street producer Kate Oates and has some of the cast singing words to the familiar theme tune.

Listen: Classical version of the Coronation Street theme tune

Gabriela Montero is known for being a stupendous pianist, but she’s also a truly gifted improviser.

One of her party-pieces is to take a theme suggested by the audience or the orchestra and turn it into a majestic piano piece.

So, at Classic FM Live in Cardiff on Tuesday night, the orchestra had a truly inspired suggestion for her…
