Jennie McAlpine taking part in I'm a Celebrity jungle?

Not sure if this is true but here we go... The Sun says that Coronation Street's Jennie McAlpine has signed up to do the jungle this year in I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here.  You can read all the tabloid tale here.

Mr Curry Sauce told The Sun: 'Jennie's been on the wishlist for some time and, after a lot of persuasion, she's agreed to take part this year. Corrie have given it the green light because they've been able to reschedule her storyline filming — so everything has finally fallen into place. She's bubbly and great fun, so the hope is she'll be a great ad­dition. The producers are over the moon to get her.'

Mind you, this is the same tabloid that says Craig Charles was going back to the jungle this year. But Craig's website shows he's doing his Funk and Soul gigs while the jungle programme airs, so they clearly got that one wrong.

Craig Charles going into I'm a Celebrity jungle

According to today's Mirror, Craig Charles has landed in Australia to take part in the new series of I'm a Celebrity in the jungle.  The show starts this weekend.

Craig, who plays Coronation Street's Lloyd Mullaney, is reported by the Mirror as saying: "I signed up because Its an adventure isn't it? Its an ITV show, Coronation Street is an ITV show, they talked and said 'get him in there'. It's the one they all want to do, it the one all families sit down to watch. Obviously I will miss my wife and kids, miss the football, and reading and. writing, you can't read in there. That will be difficult I suppose."

Antony Cotton (Sean Tully) and Helen Flanagan (Rosie Webster) have both been in the jungle too.

I love I'm a Celebrity, so if it's true that Craig's going in the jungle this year, it'll be good fun for this fan to watch.

Two Coronation Street cast members rumoured for I'm a Celebrity 2013

This year's I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here starts on Sunday 17th November.  I love it!  It's one of the few reality TV shows I watch, along with Strictly Come Dancing.

Anyway, Micheal le Vell, who plays Coronation Street's Kevin Webster, is strongly tipped to turn up in the show this year.  If it's true he'll follow in the jungle steps of Corrie cast-mates Antony Cotton and Helen Flanagan, who have both appeared on the show.

The tabloids are always full of rumours as to who might be going into the jungle and it could be that Michael's name has just been added to the list before he returns to work at Corrie.

But then again, he was spotted flying off from Manchester airport last week and was then photographed in Dubai...

In other news, Fat Brenda, the siren of the Streetcars office is also rumoured to appear on the show as this leaked memo circulating on twitter now shows...

Antony Cotton in Celebrity Jungle - what do you think of it so far?

And so it begins, another round of I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here.  We counted all the celebs in tonight and we'll be counting them all out again.

I love I'm a Celebrity although this time around there's a special Coronation Street angle of course as himself Antony Cotton, Corrie's Sean Tully, has only gone and joined the jungle. 

And now he's in and the jungle mayhem has started.

Antony Cotton confirmed for I'm a Celebrity

ITV Confirms today that Antony Cotton will indeed be one of the contestants in the next "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here". The environment will be a jungle in Australia and Antony has already had hypnotherapy to help with his fears of flying and heights and claustrophobia.

While away, he's going to miss good friend the filming of Katherine Kelly's last scenes and her leaving do and he hopes he won't miss the planning for Betty Driver's on screen send off. He's looking forward to these new experiences, though, and he seems hopeful he will conquer his fears.

Ex-Corrie actor joins I'm a Celebrity jungle

Nigel Havers, who played Audrey's charming, caddish, lover, Lewis Archer on Coronation Street, has been confirmed as one of the contestants in ITV's I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here.

He'll be out in time for Christmas though, as he's starring in Dick Whittington at Birmingham Hippodrome this festive season.
