Ex-Corrie actress joins Emmerdale

Gaynor Faye, who played Judy Mallett in Coronation Street, is joining the cast of rival soap Emmerdale as Megan Macey, the glam sister of hunky Declan.

Gaynor said: “I’m incredibly excited to be joining Emmerdale. The women on Emmerdale are strong and feisty and I can’t wait to play my character who’s fun but extremely driven and will stop at nothing to get her own way.

Here’s to the New Year when I take my first tipple in the Woolpack.”

Guess who's moved from the cobbles to the moors in Wuthering Heights?

Two of our favourite ex-Coronation Street actors are starring in the stage version of Wuthering Heights from next week.

Rupert Hill (Jamie Baldwin) and Gaynor Faye (Judy Mallett) are treading the boards as Kathy and Heathcliffe at the Hull Truck theatre company in, er, Hull from 7 October.

Coronation Street actors' holiday hot spots

Where does Sue Cleaver (Eileen Grimshaw) rate as her best and worst holiday destinations? You can also find out what Charlie Condou (Marcus Dent) has to say on the holiday subject too by watching the video at YouTube.

Sue's bit comes on at around 3:40 and Charlie's is at 4:30. Can't be bothered to watch it? Then Sue loves Oman, hates Benidorm and Charlie loves Las Vegas and hates Corfu. Gaynor Faye, who played Judy Mallett, also gives her tuppence worth too.
