Coronation Street loses out to EastEnders

Coronation Street's been beaten by EastEnders in a poll to find Britain's best loved theme tune.

The Corrie theme tune came 10th in the poll while EastEnders was 5th. In 1st place was the theme from Only Fools and Horses. The full top 10 best loved theme tunes are:

Coronation Street ringtones - with a difference

No, it's not an instruction to Carla Connor to call her boyfriend, but there is a very odd ringtone online right here. It's the Coronation Street theme, out of tune, complete with a hacking cough and someone trying to sing along. Very odd indeed.

I much prefer the theme tune this way.

There's also a Vera Duckworth ring tone, a less convincing Deirdre Barlow one and a Mike Baldwin one too. Not enough for you? How about a ring tone by Ken Barlow, Dev Alahan or a text, I say, a text message from fat Fred.

I love the reggae version of the Coronation Street theme tune and this reggae-hip-hop-mash-up of the theme tune is also right up my Street. It's fantastic, give it a whirl, you might just like it.

If you like a spot of ska or the rythym of reggae, you'll love Izzy Royal's version of the Coronation Street theme tune. I found this online some years ago and it's been one of my favourite bits of Corrie triviana(*) ever since.
