Coronation Street Episode Review;Wednesday 5th of October 8 pm

Tonight, Billy apologised to Summer for his overreaction and parental panicking. Billy also forgives her boyfriend for his class-c indiscretion, but pseudo-parent Paul can't shift his anger. For Aaron, the problems only worsen when his drunken Dad rocks up at the garage seeking his weed back. As Maria and Fiz tell Tyrone about seeing Tim in his morning glory, the jovial atmosphere is shattered, when Aaron's drunk Dad threatens his son and Tyrone, but Kev soon sends him packing! Kev knows all about alcohol and drug abuse!

Later on, after returning from home, Aaron arrives back on the street to meet Summer and shows her some more bruises, particularly a huge one on his wrist. Paul (ex-jailbird) continues to take his bizarre moral high ground and confronts Aaron about the space cakes, grabbing him on the wrist, and the lad retaliates by punching him one. Billy tries to calm his ex-boyfriend down, and Kevin reluctantly accepts the lad's apology for bringing drugs to the garage. With Aaron admitting the abuse to Billy, Billy relays the info to Paul who decides not to press charges! Later, Paul tells Aaron it may be best to end the relationship with Summer.

Meanwhile, Tim gets ready to celebrate his wedding anniversary! Pretending he’s forgotten the big day, Sally storms off in a huff, and Tim (wearing only a dressing gown) runs out in the street, giving Mary and Fiz a bit of morning glory. Luckily, 'the mouse was still in the house!' - Mary is comedy gold!! Later, Tim catches up with Sally telling her he hadn't forgotten - giving her the gift which Aggie helped him choose. They make up with a hug, which Aggiei sees, she smiles at the loved-up twosome. Later, Tim meets Aggie in Victoria Garden, and thanks her for her help - giving her a gift too. It's a slow burner but, I think we can guess where this is going, right? Later, Sally arranges a special night for Tim, as a thank you.

Elsewhere in the romance stakes, Ken and Wendy 'Flamin’ Crozier (that's her official title) rekindle that early 1990s flame, as they both realise they’ve been harbouring feelings for each other. Amy finds out (where are Tracy and Steve, by the way?) and promises to keep things a secret from her Mum. Mary isn't best pleased though as Wendy’s presence is causing ructions in the am-dram group (that Yoko line was brilliant). With the romance rekindled, Wendy decides it's best to resign from ‘Roxanna’. Brian also promises to keep their secret too, and Mary becomes the plays leading lady. I love this storyline - it is Classic Coronation Street, in all its glory.

Over as Speed Daal, Alya is still helping Stu via sneaky DNA mug testing which she's still trying to hide from Zee and Dee-Dee. Dee-Dee and Ayla have become great friends, she tells her that she's not returning to L.A, and she hasn't told her Aggie or Ed, either. However, she's angry tonight, when faced with another lie, finding out that Alya still wants to test the DNA on that mug even though Stu wants it over with. Still concerned by Yas and Stu’s relationship, Alya convinces Zee that her plan is still the best course of action, and he convinces Dee-Dee to go ahead with it.

Elsewhere, Max gets a great report from the PRU, Shona and David are pleased with his progression, but it's clear he is still getting bullied. David asks Brian for educational advice, and Max avoids the bad boys by helping Maria on a council jaunt.

This past week of Mary-related am-dram comedy, Daisy at the Rovers helm, new gal Dee-Dee, Bernie being brilliant, and some well-written scripts, have made Coronation Street a treat!

What are your thoughts?

Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 17th of Oct 7.30pm

Welcome to Wednesday's edition of the Coronation Street Blog and the first of tonight's episode reviews.

Ali's sleep is disturbed following his part in Ronan's death. He's bottling it all up, unlike the tree, which he unleashed from the gangsters gut!. As  Ryan resides in a coma, Michelle's guilt ways heavy and DC McKinnon pays her a visit, demanding a a statement. Michelle heads back to the flat, in search of Ali, and some answers.

Over at The Rovers Return, Johnny makes a continental breakfast for Jenny (guilt toast, with flowers of shame) to try and regain his wife's forgiveness over the affair. Is Jenny forgiving, far too soon?.

Less forgiving is Peter, as Vicky and Sinead continue to argue at the factory. As she awaits the biopsy results, a nervous Sinead keeps the secret to herself, even from her 'brother in law'.

Arriving back at Roberts flat, Ali makes a startling confession about his part in Ronan's death to Michelle. How will his Mum react?

In other news; Daniel gets offered a degree course, and Nick returns to the street.

Keep your eyes peeled for my 8.30pm review, coming  tomorrow on the @CoroStreetBlog

Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 3rd of Oct 8.30pm

As promised, here is the second episode review of this Wednesday's Coronation Street.

Tonight on the street, it's the maternal and paternal ties that bring drama to the cobbles.

Sinead learns more of her potential cervical cancer diagnosis, which could cause trouble to her and Daniel's unborn baby. Will Sinead unleash this sad news to her family?.

Reeling from the drugs death and Sophie's change of heart, Michelle has trouble keeping son Ryan from running away, until the police find Cormac's drugs on him, and cart him off to the cop shop.

Then there's Steve and Jim. After an impassioned heart to heart, a drunken Steve asks Jim to be his best man at the wedding. Will Jim's realigned relationship with his son, cause repercussions for his and Hannah's plan?.

Devastated by the letter from his estranged mother, Sinead avoids telling Daniel about her diagnosis. However, she sugar-coats the subject, when on her own with her Aunty Beth.

In other news- Gemma's thinking of copper highlights, Brian consoles Jack, and David enjoys sending Bethany on errands.

As I am now writing both Wednesday nights episodes, I shall score this week 6/10. The dark drama, wonderful writing, and Kirk's Big Cat adventures.

What would you score it?

Anyway, that's me for another week. Join me next time, for more Wednesday Weatherfield Wisdom!.

I hope you've enjoyed my mid-week paean to the drama of Coronation Street.

Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 3rd of Oct 7.30pm

Welcome to Wednesday's edition of the Coronation Street Blog and first of two reviews, following last night's drama.

Sinead and Daniel head off for the 12-week scan. Whilst Daniel's mind wanders with excitement on the Weatherfield Wayfarer, Sinead is morose and mournful- will their unborn baby be ok?.

Meanwhile, David's cathartic attack on Josh may have lifted his mood, but he still can't forgive Bethany. Jack, however, is worried about returning to school in his wheelchair, which causes Kevin to unleash an outburst; albeit apologetically.

Over at The Rovers Return, Jenny receives flowers, but they aren't from Johnny. With Jim appearing to have second thoughts, Hannah has ranked up the blackmail plot and arranged for the unwarranted gift,  including an ambiguous note. Johnny seems shaken and confides in Carla.

Sophie is also having second thoughts after discussing her predicament with Paula. As Ryan's desperation becomes more clear, and a drug dealers body is found in the canal, will she retract her statement to the police?.

Back at Weatherfield General, Sinead requests a second scan, as an elated Daniel heads home. When the sonographer demands a second opinion, it appears they've found a lump in her cervix.

Could this be a cancer scare?.

In other news- Kirk's Manchester big cat escapades continue, Kens re-writing his book, and Daniel's mood diminishes with a letter from his mother, Denise.

Keep your eyes peeled for my 8.30pm review, coming to the blog tonight.
