Preview of today's Coronation Street - Friday 26th September 2025

Friday 26th September

BERNIE WON’T BACK DOWN TO A BULLY Bernie confides in Dev that according to Kit, it’s going to be difficult to bring charges against Naomi as they only have Asha’s word for what happened. At the careers fair, Bernie locates Naomi’s laptop. As Naomi takes the stage, and clicks on the first slide, she’s horrified by what she sees. Bernie explains to the shocked audience how Naomi abused Asha, a paramedic and woman of colour. Nina and Amy film the proceedings on their phones while Ryan calls a halt to the event. Having watched the video, Asha rounds on Bernie for interfering. Naomi barges into No.7 and announces that she’s suing Bernie for defamation.

DEBBIE GETS CLOSER TO THE TRUTH Kevin tells Tyrone about his break up with Abi and how he suspects she might be having an affair with Carl. Tyrone shares his own frustration over the hit and run and how the police are no nearer to finding out who was responsible. In the hotel bedroom, Abi snuggles up next to Carl and suggests it’s time for them to run away together and start a new life. Carl tries to make light of the situation. Debbie pays Carl a visit and is shocked to find Abi there.

TODD AND THEO PLAY HAPPY FAMILIES Theo excitedly reveals that Miles and Millie are coming to say and orders Todd to get the flat looking spick and span. Todd does his best to appear upbeat. When Millie reveals that the only reason they’ve come to visit is because they’re legally required to see him, Theo’s cut to the quick.

ELSEWHERE Jenny invites George to join her for lunch but he declines, making out he’s got to clean the funeral parlour. Jenny calls at the undertakers with her mop but when she finds that George has enlisted Christina’s help, she leaves. Dee-Dee and Ollie join Adam and Alya for lunch in the bistro. Ollie criticises the food and Dee-Dee’s embarrassed.

Hi, I've watched this in advance and can say that the episode is quite tedious, except for the class Jenny and Christina scenes! One other thing to point out is one 'blink and you miss it' moment in Carl's hotel bedroom. I love the fact that Corrie has to avoid showing all brand products for products (except for partners), so they to make up thier own names. Anyway, look out for 'Cosy nose' tissues at the side of the bed! :)

I don't understand why Ollie is suddenly slating the food at The Bistro when he's quite happily wolfed down a cheap meal at Roy's rolls. Like a lot of things, it doesn't make sense. I sense a quick exit from Ollie.
It was nice to see Adam and Alyah again. I'd like to see Adam and Sarah get back together - that could be another love triangle?
At least they have a good, strong actresses who play Naomi and Danielle. I'd like to see more of them in Corrie.
I like the Asha story. It's an interesting moral dilemma.
It was a pity that we lost Lou.
By the way, what is happening with the girls at Tim and Sally's?
They only have one daughter now but Brody will be exiting, soon, won't he?
I've liked the developing friendship of Jenny and Glenda, too.
It makes a nice change from Theo and Todd and the totally unplausible Becky story.

As I have always suspected, Ollie is too good to be true. The food criticism was petty, and what's his interest in Toyah? Who did he ring after lunch?
Asha really shouldn't have dropped her complaint. If she'd waited for Naomi to get drunk, she might have been abusive again, with plenty of witnesses. The way she was pushing the hotel employee around was evidence of her racism and general nastiness.

The whole Asha dropping of the complaint was silly. She'd have her day in court when the whole issue of the racist attack would have been aired. Did the racist woman really want to go through that? And as for Millie and Miles, the children that should have been drowned at birth. Again, poorly written and very poorly acted on everybody's part.

Haven't we had the racism plot before, with the Baileys and all that with Lauren's dad and when Max got caught up into that group?
I reckon that they'll bring Max back in a few years, played by another actor. The Platts are a part of the street's history, and they'll do all they can to continue that.

On reflection Naomi's attack on Asha may not have been racist, though it definitely showed a lack of respect for a member of the emergency services. Every clinic, surgery and hospital now has notices asking for staff to be treated with courtesy. I think that's meant to be the main issue here. Of course racism and Asha's youth cannot be ruled out.

The main issue with Naomi (horrible even when sober) is her abuse of an Emergency Services employee. Clinics, surgeries and hospitals display notices about how to treat staff. Naomi's "reason" might have been that Asha is so young. With racism thrown in. I do hope they don't make it the focus of the complaint. Or that it's now about Asha's mental health, and Naomi gets away with it.
