For this sort of story to work, Mick and Lou should have been firmly embedded in the Street for at least a year, if not longer. They should have come in as nice characters, we should have gotten to know and like them, and then Mick's nasty side should be slowly revealed to us. As it is, they came in as a thoroughly unlikable couple with no redeeming features at all, and frankly no one cares if they both fall into a sink-hole with a tram crashing on top of them. Oh, and flashbacks are a lazy, lazy way to tell a story.
I have to agree. They're so new that I'm just not invested in this story.
With the hockey playoffs messing up the viewing schedule, I'm missing all of this. Every other year I'd be trying to catch up on the weekends, but this year? Meh.
