Sheree Murphy eyes up Coronation Street role

Sheree Murphy may be best known to soap fans as Tricia Dingle from Emmerdale. And now, she says she would love a role in Coronation Street too.

In an interview with The Mirror, Sheree said: “I’d love to stir things up in Corrie – though I’m not sure how they’d feel about having a Londoner turn up on the cobbles.”‘

And in an interview on ITV's Lorraine show in the same week, Sheree said: "I am missing soaps and soap life. I miss everything about being on a soap. I would never say no to another one. I love EastEnders, I love Corrie, if anyone would like me!"

Sheree Murphy set to join the Street?

One of the rumours doing the rounds online is that Sheree Murphy could be joining Coronation Street.

Sheree starred in ITV soap Emmerdale as Tricia Dingle from 1998 to 2004. In December 2005 she also appeared on I'm A Celebrity Get Me out of Here in which she finished runner-up to Carol Thatcher (and revealed that footballer husband Harry Kewell has a "peachy bum").
