Corrie actors in Great North Run for Leukaemia Research

There's a decent sprinkling of Coronation Street actors taking part in the Great North Run on Sunday 20 September. It's the world's biggest half marathon and runs 13.5 miles from Newcastle to South Shields. Corrie actors running to raise funds for Leukaemia Research are:

Vicky Binns (Molly Dobbs), Conor Ryan (Len Windass), Craig Gazey (Graeme Proctor), Rachel Leskovac (Natasha Blakeman), Graham Hawley (John Stape) and ex-Corrie actress Sam Seager (Jodie Morton).

Antony Cotton and Samia Smith

Antony Cotton (Sean Tully) and Samia Smith (Maria Connor) have signed up to run the BUPA Great North Run 2009 which takes place in September this year. Good on them both.

Antony announced that he would be running the race with Samia, after been asked by a 13-year-old girl born with her heart back-to-front. The Coronation Street actors will be raising money for the Francis House Hospice in Didsbury.
