You can tell it's a Jonathan Harvey episode when in the first 5 mins: Glenda talks about the musical version of A Clockwork Orange that she did on the ships ("Orange", featuring the Electric Shock Salsa), Steve and Cassie sit on a car, discussing everyone who walks past, and Sally compares Tim to dripping tripe from Widnes market.
There is also some top level bitching between Eva and Mrs Doyle, after Maggie allegedly slept on the steps of the pub. After some hours of this though, Ben finds his ma in Eva's arms, cuddled up on the sofa. Sweet.
Interrupting pensive pony tapestry work, George and Christina poke their noses into Summer's journal in which she fantasies about killing Theo. It's just a journal - I could write "Met my future second husband Cillian Murphy today. He's leaving his wife and children for me" but it doesn't mean that it's true. Summer discovers them reading it and then decides to barbecue the diary. At the same time, Swain and Kit find out that Summer was wearing the brooch found in Todd's flat. About time she went back to the University of America, no?
I said a couple of weeks ago that it was George who killed Theo as he was the most disposable character. I've changed my mind and now think it was Danielle - basically because she is not a main character with a contract. But if she did murder her ex and she goes down for it, does that mean Todd gets custody of Moaning Minnie and Reform-councillor-in-waiting, Miles?
Still playing house are Daniel and Jodie. He's even done her ironing - he'd make someone a lovely boyfriend, apart from y'know, everything else. Jodie is unable to do anything normally and instead of just getting with Daniel, she tells him that Bertie is missing him and is wetting the bed. Daniel finally leaves the flat to see his son but finds out that is not true. Whilst he admits she has a point in making him leave the sofa, he tells Jodie that Bertie will be coming home and so she will have to leave. What next for our fave sociopath?
