Results from the British Soap Awards 2008
The British Soap Awards took place on Saturday night, 3rd May, in London. Results were announced and can be found in full here.Although Coronation Street lost out to EastEnders for Best Soap, winners on the Street were:
Sexiest Male - Rob James Collier (Liam Connor)
Villian of the Year - Jack P Shepherd (David Platt)
Best Comedy Performance - Maggie Jones (Blanche Hunt)
Best Newcomer - Michelle Keegan (Tina McIntyre)
Lifetime Achievement Award - Liz Dawn (Vera Duckworth)
The awards show will be on ITV on Wednesday night, 7th May with the aftershow party shown on ITV2.

Vote for Corrie in the British Soap Awards
From Monday 28 April to Friday 2 May, voting will reopen in the British Soap Awards for one category only - that of Best Soap.Get your clicking fingers at the ready and your mouse poised for action, and vote for Coronation Street at the website right here. The awards show will be on TV in May.
