Preview of today's Coronation Street - Wednesday 24th December 2025

Wednesday 24th December - Half hour

BECKY GETS HER CHRISTMAS WISH Becky urges Lisa to forget about Carla and enjoy Christmas. When Lisa complains of tension in her neck, Becky gives her a massage. Becky starts to kiss Lisa on the back of her neck. Will Lisa respond? Becky suggests to Lisa that there’s nothing to stop them from rekindling their old life. Lisa sends Carla a text telling her how much she loves her and how she’d do anything to win her back.

MAGGIE FINDS MORE THAN SHE BARGAINED FOR Adam tells Eva it might help to write down her feelings in the form of a letter. When Alya enters, Adam shoves a jewellery box at Eva and asks her to hide it as it’s Alya’s present. Maggie watches as Eva hides the box. Maggie rifles through Eva’s handbag but she’s disappointed to find it’s a necklace engraved for Alya. However as she puts the box back, she finds Eva’s letter. Shocked by its contents, a conniving Maggie insists Adam and Alya must join the family for Christmas dinner.

IT’LL BE LONELY THIS CHRISTMAS FOR CARL Carl explains to James that his Mum died, he got drunk and he regrets sending him a text. James threatens to spill the beans to Abi. Can Carl stop him?

ELSEWHERE When Theo asks Todd if he’s looking forward to Christmas, Todd changes the subject and remarks how good it was to be back at work. Theo bristles. Returning with stacks of shopping, Theo explains that he’s invited all their friends for Christmas dinner but he’ll be doing the cooking, how will Todd react? Sally, Brody, Joanie and Shanice pull up outside the prison and wave a banner which reads “Happy Christmas Mum” in front of a security camera in the hope that Lou will see it.

Coronation Street Episode Review Monday 22nd December

Coronation Street Blog: Preview of today's Coronation Street - Monday 22nd December

I often prefer Friday's episodes to Monday's. Monday is more focussed on introducing or progressing storylines, Friday is more relaxed as we've got to the end of the week and much of the hard storylining has been done. I liked last Friday's with a) lack of Theo and Becky and b) Joanie going full Female Trouble on the Metcalfe Christmas tree. Monday is often more serious - last week's ep of Todd on CCTV was brilliantly done but too harrowing to do some kind of snarky review.

But tonight's was more fun!

Coronation Street newcomer who plays Susie has a brother on the show | Soaps | Metro News

Stage school Susie announces that she wants a baby brother or sister for Christmas and Eva looks non-plussed. I mean, it'd be cheaper than a PlayStation. Later, she gets upset about it and cries on Adam's shoulder. This stokes Maggie's suspicions as she witnesses hand-holding and Susie tells her that her mum and Adam were hugging.

Also in the extended Driscoll family, Megan leaves Daniel's flat early in the morning, but asks Eva not to mention it to anyone as: "I don't want anyone getting the wrong idea." Surely better that than being known as a pederast.

Coronation Street spoilers: Who is Ronnie Bailey and who plays him? | Soaps | Metro News

The theme for Ronnie's stag do is rude boys, because the writers have got a very specific idea of what black people like. At least they didn't get the dominoes out again. It goes a bit flat as Kev turns up, sees Carl, storms out. Even worse, Debbie doesn't bother to turn up to her "surprise" hen do and then Abi leaves abruptly when Carl hears that his mum has died. We later find out that Debbie was supposed to pass on a message to her brother from his mum but she forgot. She asks Ronnie not to tell Carl this, so I guess it'll come out in a coupla weeks time?

In the meantime, David and Shona go to an antenatal class. David is unimpressed and slags off the class to a woman who turns out to to be the course leader. He should've been taking a professional interest and ask where she got her very sharp bob done.

Batty Becky turns up to Kate Oates memorial to "escort" Costello when he's being transferred and to vaguely threaten him. At number 6, Swain receives a message from Carla saying she wants to stop paying her portion of the mortgage. And a more indirect message is Carla posting a pic of herself on holiday, "living my best life". The props department hasn't bothered putting together a Photoshop of this though. Come on guys, ChatGPT is right there.

Monday 22nd December

DEBBIE’S HEN DO IS MORE OF A HEN DON’T Carl checks his bank balance having transferred some money from Debbie’s account. Debbie meanwhile ignores another text from Elaine. When Ronnie reveals her friends have planned a hen party, Debbie feigns enthusiasm. Sally, Christina, Glenda and Bernie, await the bride-to-be’s arrival. At the stag do, Ronnie reveals he’s got an appointment with a solicitor as Debbie wants him to have power of attorney and over her finances. Carl listens in dismay. Carl answers his phone and his face falls. Bernie takes a call from Debbie, revealing she’s in Leeds so won’t be joining them. As the hens resolve to enjoy the party anyway, Abi rushes out after a call from Carl.

EVA’S GUILT COMES TO THE SURFACE Susie tells Eva and Ben she’d like a baby brother or sister. Ben likes the idea whilst Eva’s clearly rattled. Carl tells Maggie that Eva’s credit card was found in one of the hotel bedrooms. Maggie’s intrigued. Ben explains Will had taken his girlfriend there and used Eva’s card to pay. But when Adam finds a tearful Eva in the backyard and Eva pours her heart out to him, will Maggie start jumping to conclusions? Eva hates herself for lying to Ben, but Adam assures her she had no choice. What is she hiding? COSTELLO’S IN DANGER Lisa reads a text from Carla informing her that she wants her name taken off the mortgage. When she then sees a picture on Carla’s socials showing her sipping a cocktail, living her best life”, Lisa masks her hurt. When Lisa reveals that Costello is showing signs of improvement and they’re moving him to a rehab clinic, Becky masks her panic. As Costello is wheeled out of the hospital, Becky approaches and flashing Lisa’s police badge at the porter, asserts that she’ll take it from here. Costello stares at her in horror.

ELSEWHERE Shona drags David to her antenatal class. When David moans to one woman that the whole thing is a waste of time, he’s mortified to discover she’s the teacher. Asha has a meeting with her supervisor.
