With just hours to go until the highly anticipated Corriedale hits our screens we invite you to go behind the scenes of the soap crossover with the cast of Coronation Street and Emmerdale.
Whilst the action packed hour long episode, airing at 8pm on ITV and ITVX on Monday, is full of drama, secrets, lies, injuries and potential deaths, these photos show just how much fun the actors from both soaps had working together.
And once the show has aired fans can get exclusive behind the scenes access to the making of Corriedale with Corriedale Backstage Pass, including exclusive interviews, on ITVX, ITV3 and YouTube
The build-up starts at 7am Monday when half hour episodes of both shows will land on ITVX and on ITV at 7pm and 7.30pm.
The unique crossover episode was filmed across 3 weeks back in October including a 12 night shoot on a disused road close to Harrogate, Yorkshire.
Cast and crew from both shows worked alongside each other for the first time ever to film the multi vehicle pile-up, and when the cameras stopped rolling the tears and trauma turned to laughter as they shared hot cups of coffee, mountains of sweets and had a good old catch up.
Actress Julia Goulding said: “There was such a fantastic atmosphere on set. It was really special to be able to work with the Emmerdale cast and crew. It certainly helped with the night shoots to be able to work with new people. We kept the energy levels high with coffee and lots of sugary sweets!”
Emmerdale’s Danny Miller said: “The night shoots were a lot of fun and it's been great working with the Corrie team. I can't wait to see how the episode plays out with the separate storylines from both Emmerdale and Corrie. It’s going to be epic and every soap fan's dream.”
When the credits roll at 9pm viewers can go to ITV3,ITVX and YouTube for Corriedale Backstage Pass, a 30-minute special that celebrates, unpacks and extends the landmark Corriedale TV event.
Hosted by Luis Elkes and packed with cast interviews and behind-the-scenes access, this one-off special gives audiences the ultimate insider experience and captures the excitement of two soap worlds colliding.
CORRIEDALE is just the start of the drama as the aftermath of the crash gives rise to fear, murderous intent, death, destruction, closely-guarded secrets, and lies.
Life in Emmerdale and Weatherfield will never be the same again!
The hour long Corriedale episode will air at 8pm on January 5th - it will not be dropped earlier in the day on ITVX.
Half hour episodes of each soap will be shown earlier, Emmerdale 7pm and Coronation Street 7.30pm, these two episodes will drop on ITVX at 7am that morning.
