BERNIE DOESN’T MAKE IT DOWN THE AISLE Dev and Bernie’s wedding day goes from bad to worse when the quads fall ill and have to watch with Joseph on live stream, Bernie forgets her lucky charm locket containing the photo of Paul and when she runs home to get it she disturbs a burglar. Back at the bistro Debbie entertains the wedding guests by singing Hopelessly Devoted to You and proposing to Ronnie! Eventually Bernie returns to the Bistro and walks down the aisle with Kit. With the service about to start, Dev and Bernie share loving looks, but suddenly Bernie struggles to breathe and collapses in front of a shocked Dev. As Bernie lies on the bistro floor, gasping for breath, Asha comes to her aid while Gemma calls an ambulance and Dev and the wedding guests watch helplessly. At No.5, Chesney notices the livestream has cut out just as an ambulance passes by. Will they get to Bernie in time? At the bistro, the wedding guests survey the untouched buffet, wondering what to do, when suddenly Asha arrives and announces that Dev wants the family at the hospital.

ABI AND CARL SAIL CLOSE TO THE WIND At No.13, Abi makes out to Kevin that she’s got a stomach bug and he’ll have to attend the wedding on his own. Abi meets up with Carl in his hotel bedroom and admits she feels terrible for lying to Kevin. Carl pulls her into a passionate embrace. Kevin returns home to find Abi dressed up to the nines. How will she explain herself? Abi sneaks out to the ginnel to find Carl waiting for her. When Carl reiterates that he meant everything he said and he wants to be with her, Abi can’t help but grin.

THEO HAS HAD ENOUGH OF SUMMER When Todd chooses spending time with Summer over a night out with Theo he is not impressed. At No.11, Summer invites Theo to join her and Todd for pizza in front of the telly, but he refuses and announces he’s going to the pub. Todd’s left bemused.

Oh please let this be the end of Bernie. And as for Summer - well done Theo. About time. Is this couple ever going to have a row-less time?

The Bistro is licensed to perform weddings, is it? Very odd. It does seem to have become the wedding venue of choice for some reason - not sure I'd want to get married there. You'd have thought the Chariot Square hotel would have a wedding licence if anywhere did.

At the end of it, Bernie and Dev are not legally married. Gary and Maria got married at the bistro and so did ( I think) Gail and Jesse. I'm so fed up of Theo and Todd, plus the Abbey, Kev and Carl triangle.

Todd and Theo going round in circles is really annoying and boring. Todd is too bright not to see that Theo's faults far outweigh his charms.
I've never believed in the Dev and Bernie pairing. Awful woman. Constantly interfering.
Kevin is no hunk and is older than Abi, but Carl is creepy and revolting. What on earth does Abi see in him?

Dev was really nasty to Aadi, calling him all sorts of names. I would have hoped he’d be a bit more understanding about getting in a muddle with the accounts.

I agree. Poor Aadi, the nicest male character in Corrie. There was no need for Dev to be so nasty. He should have asked someone - Jenny, Roy? - to help Aadi with the accounts because he didn't have enough experience to handle everything on his own. He also seemed to be working 24/7, with no other staff.

Spot on - she's horrible character. Constantly interfering.

So Gemma's not licensed to perform a ceremony then? Why didn't they ask Billy? There are a lot of coincidences and the pace is too fast to even feel real....what a street to live on.

The actress playing Bernie does not warrant the amount of screen time she is given by the writers. Her performances are very tedious, a little Bernie goes a LOOOONG way. We need more Sally and Tim. Sally Dynevor has a much better range; humour, pathos, etc. Jack P Shepherd is going great guns at the minute too BTW.
