Watch new Corrie trailer for drama on the cobbles this March

Coronation Street have unveiled a dramatic new trailer with David Platt and Rob Donovan at the centre of the action on the cobbles in March.

With a shocking hit and run and an armed siege, the drama surrounding David and Rob in February is set to continue.

David’s guilt about son Max facing a lengthy jail sentence for setting fire to the Platt’s home leads to him making the dramatic decision to take his own life, by hiring a hitman to mow him down.

The trailer shows the shocking moment on Weds March 5th that Shona sees David hit by a speeding car and left for dead at the end of the Street, but sadly it isn’t only David who is a victim of the hit and run as pregnant Daisy is accidentally caught up in the collision.

Meanwhile, viewers will discover that Rob was not killed in his fall at the warehouse last week and he will return to the cobbles later in the month to seek out his sister Carla and demand she helps him escape.

With armed police surrounding the house, will Carla and Lisa escape? As a shot rings out, who is the latest victim of Rob’s desperate bid to be a free man?

After Kevin receives more bad news, Abi offers to cancel her therapy session to spend the afternoon with him but Kevin won’t allow it. Tim finds Kevin in the garage and when offering support, Kevin’s hurt turns to anger.

Abi opens up to Ronnie about her therapy sessions as Kevin enters, sees them laughing together and leaves again. How will Kevin react to this?

Cassie visits Ken in the hospital. Is Ken any further forward to catching her out?

In the STC, Daniel checks on Dylan when another lad, Brody, clocks their exchange and quizzes Dylan. When Dylan admits that Daniel used to be a neighbour, Brody advises him to keep that on the down low. After getting a hard time from some lads, Brody sends them packing and tells him to stick with him until he finds his feet.

David makes out to Shona that he’s doing some home-visit barbering to make some extra cash but as Shona leaves, David makes a call to Andy. Andy pays David for the latest job as David confirms that he needs as many jobs as possible.  Andy locks eyes with a lad who’s been watching and gives him the nod. Has Andy set David up?

Preview of today's Coronation Street - Wednesday 26 February 2025

Wednesday 26 February 2025

Cassie orders two designer juicers in Ken’s name. When Steve suggests lunch at the bistro, Cassie is delighted. When Ken closes his eyes and Cassie nips out, his eyes ping open. Is Ken finally on to Cassie?

As Steve waits for Cassie in the bistro he admits to Amy that he really likes her. As Ken reaches for the phone, he collapses in pain.

In court, Dylan becomes emotional when he tells the Judge how he only meant to scare Mason’s brothers with the knife, but when the judge asserts that he should be up for the more serious crime of making threats with a knife, Sean and Dylan are horrified. Adam warns Dylan that he could be looking at a two year sentence. The Judge confirms Dylan’s sentence in the STC, but how long will he get?

Daisy has her 12 week scan, but as the sonographer moves the monitor, Daisy finds things too much and rushes out of the appointment.

Ronnie calls for Alfie to take him to the Red Rec. Kevin wishes he could go too, but Abi insists that he needs to rest. As Ronnie fixes a kitchen cupboard for Abi, Kevin feels totally useless.

Todd and George put pressure on Julie to tell Eileen the real reason she is here, but will Julie listen?

Coronation Street Episode Review Monday 24th January

Apols that there has been no Monday review the last two weeks, I was away. Catching up, it seemed  a busy fortnight: kidnapping, attempted fratricide, teen incarceration, gangsters, cancer operation, tea dances (at which no dancing was done), the return of a beloved character, and Craig seems to have got hair plugs.

DAISY - CORONATION STREET - ITV

To my knowledge, there are four characters quitting the soap: Max, Daisy, Eileen and Craig. Max we know will be off to chokey in Scotland to languish forever or until the character returns with a new head, Craig's exit will no doubt have something to do with Kit, who, once Swain's various crimes are revealed, will be running Weatherfield nick (along with that silent cop who got a line in last week's episode), but the other two leaving storylines are in play tonight.

Firstly, Daisy. She opens the ep by saying she's been offered an au pair job in Paris, much to Jenny's disgust, which is less to do with losing a barmaid/dogsbody and more because she thinks Double D deserve a happy ending. I think everyone else only wants them to be together to stop two other people being miserable. Daniel has very easily got over Beffany and is planning his future with Daisy as he believes the baby is his. Daisy is unconvinced until Daniel sweet talks her and then promises to sort out the debt to Carla and they snog, about two scenes before Daisy tells Jenny that Kit is actually the baby-daddy. That kid is going to be taller than Daisy by the time it's two. Daniel says he will buy the pub as an investment for Bertie (really? it gets burned down or goes bust every 5 years) with Jenny as bar manager and Carla will be off their collective backs. The irony is that the original reason that Daisy was after Daniel was for the money from his mum's house.

Next up: Eileen's leaving storyline, which will presumably revolve around Julie's return. La Carp bumps into a dishevelled Todd, who's spent the night at Chariot Square hotel with the moustachioed Romeo from the last ep. Is this Debbie's business plan - hold dating events for people who then book a room? She leaves her bag behind, which Todd returns and invites her to a surprise lunch with Eileen. Julie tries to leave without lunching but Todd starts rummaging through her bag and finds pills and a leaflet on cancer. Not more cancer! She admits to him that it's terminal.

ITV Coronation Street fans all say the same thing as Steve McDonald and Cassie Plummer date - Mirror Online

Next, important news: Delphine's restaurant has survived both the pandemic and the cost of living crisis. Steve invites Cassie out whilst she hides a text saying that her iPad is about to be delivered. Once again, I have to say Cassie's ambitions are very low. Air-fryers and tablets - she should be getting Ken to change his will! Also, she gets Fiz to buy her some liquid anti-histamine; she's not very good at covering her tracks. In a street full of gangsters, she's a very bad criminal. Her evil plans go awry when Ken opens the iPad parcel and gives it to Amy.

BETSY - DYLAN - CORONATION STREET - ITV

Dylan is convinced he'll be off to juvie and Betsy, acting like it's 1939 and her sweetheart is off to war, snogs his face off. Everyone's moving on very quickly! She then says it was a mistake.

Finally, Bobby drops his keys off chez Carla and she tells him he can keep his job but it's over between them.
