Coronation Street Episode Review Monday 6th April

DEBBIE - SUMMER - CORONATION STREET - ITV

Rafael is pleased that Debbie is back, although he doesn't get to say it, just smile delightedly. Prison has been good to Debbie, or at least to her hair, which is on point. She has promised to get Easter eggs for Lou's kids (it's Easter Monday, they'll be on special) and insists that Ryan buy "posh chocolate". Kids do not appreciate posh chocolate! Get 'em a Cadbury's buttons one and have done. But the real reason for this is to get Ryan out the way so that our Debs can make a transfer from the Chariot Square bank account to Carl. I'm pretty sure that their accountant is not going to like that. Debbie tells her son that has can pay her back by working at the hotel but after Ronnie does some digging, he finds out that Carl is trying to hoodwink Debbie once again and he is sacked from the hotel.

And it might be about to get to worse for Carl as Abi drops hints to Summer that it wasn't Debbie driving the car that killed Billy.

Jodie stood speaking to David

Talking of potential murderees, Jodie decides to let Roy down and pull a sickie to watch Marvel movies with David, who gets very upset that half the world's population dies (in the film, not on the Street).

Ben Driscoll at the bar in the Rover's Return

In the extended McDonald-Driscoll family, everyone is coming to terms with the new additions to the clan(s). Amy is particularly upset that she was "snogging the face off my own cousin". Well, it's not illegal. In another affair of the heart, Ben has informed his consultant that his bio-dad had myotonic dystrophy and he is told he will have to get tested for this condition.

Rachel Stevenson - on bluesky
