JACK AND HOPE SCOOT INTO TROUBLE Discovering that Jack got into trouble for fighting at school Kevin bans him from attending the end of term party. During his chemo session Kevin tells Abi he felt he was a bit hard on Jack. Meanwhile at the precinct Hope and Jack see two ebikes left by Toyah and Nick. They pay for the scooters and swig on a bottle of booze Hope had in her bag - just as Craig and Jess appear! Followed by Tyrone and Kevin! Jack admits he paid for the bikes with Kevin’s credit card. What will happen to Jack and Hope? Tyrone finds a furious Kevin drinking alone in the bistro and the two men lock horns over whose offspring is the worst behaved and who is leading who astray.

DEE-DEE GETS A NASTY SURPRISE As Dee-Dee readies to leave the hospital, a worried Ed arrives carrying Laila in her car seat. She is shocked when Ed reveals what has happened and why he is looking after Laila. At the house Dee-Dee tells Sarah and Alya that her condition was avoidable, it was a result of gross negligence and she intends to make an official complaint.  Alya offers to start the process for her.

CHESNEY CAN’T GET SHOT OF MICK At No.5, Chesney receives a text from Mick inviting him for a drink and his heart sinks. Chesney meets up with Mick in the Rovers and does his best to mask his anxiety. Later as Gemma and Chesney settle down in front of the TV, they’re interrupted by the arrival of Mick and Lou armed with beers and snacks.

ELSEWHERE In the café, Julie persuades Eileen and George to join her for a day out on the East Lancashire railway.  Having overheard, Nick and Toyah admire her zest for life.

THEO SENDS TODD MIXED MESSAGES Having arranged to meet Todd, Theo knocks on the back door at No.11. A nervous Theo apologises for his cloak and dagger approach.  As Todd cracks open some beers, Theo starts to relax. Theo opens up to Todd and admits he finds him attractive. Todd and Theo kiss passionately. Having spent the afternoon in bed, Todd and Theo are loved up. Theo tells Todd that his life is complicated and suggests they keep their relationship on the down low. When they hear George, Eileen and Julie returning Theo runs out of the back door but forgets his coat. Returning later he tells a gutted Todd that today was a one off.

It's about time they recast Aggie. The idea that DeeDee would be going through this without her Mom is ridiculous.

I thought Todd said the other week he wanted a proper relationship not just a one night hook up. So much for that, Theo had only been in the house for 5
minutes before they were having sex.

I agree, particularly as this storyline is going to focus on racism in the NHS. Aggie was a nurse and she would have an opinion on that. On another matter, I guess this storyline was planned long before the review of the failings in maternity care. It's either good timing for the storyline with perhaps a few rewrites to include that aspect, or unfortunate timing when viewers might say: 'It's not racism in the NHS that failed Dee Dee, just generally poor training'.

Yes. The only nurse who behaved appallingly was the one who ignored Deedee feeling bad after having the baby, refusing to take her seriously, and not examining her. But there was no sign of racism, just incompetence and insensitivity.

Deedee has just had a Caesarian and a hysterectomy. She couldn't lift a teacup, never mind a heavy rucksack or a baby!

The nurses just at my GP's surgery are very dismissive, offhand, brisk and don't want to listen to patients, because there isn't time allocated for it.
I was sent home for being early and on another occasion I was told that I shouldn't have come in! Well, an appointment was made for me (whether I wanted it or not) I didn't arrange it, so why was it my fault for turning up? On both occasions, I was made to feel as if I was a pest and an inconvenience. I feel that this is widespread problem with nursing standards across the NHS. it's not just in hospitals and has nothing to with racism.
Good on Dee dee for making a legal, official complaint. I didn't bother, because if I did, it wouldn't have made any difference.

I had an emergency c section and I was still awake when they stuck the scalpel in and I yelled ...they thought they were giving me drugs but it was oxygen. Mistakes were made. I had just a c section and I couldn't lift anything for a week...I was glad to be in the hospital for the week to recover peacefully.
I had my second naturally at eight o'clock at night...discharged by ten the next morning!! 14 hours later.......off you go we need the bed
