Up until a few years ago, it seemed like Gail McIntyre loved misery, from dating a serial killer to being pushed down the stairs by her son.
Now that David is all grown up and seemingly more responsible, Gail seems to be enjoying her life a lot more.
Some of the funniest scenes from the last few years have included Gail. Such as the jobless Gail peeking at passers-by in Audrey's and bringing the blinds down in the process. I'm glad that they have taken Gail in this direction, she's a lot of fun to watch on screen these days, especially when she has had a bit too much wine!

Really enjoy Gail. Always have even when she was a misery
I've always thought Gail was fab, but she's just shone in the last 18 months. The same is true with Deirdre. The two should pair up: imagine what they'd get up to!
Platt's are the funniest family, Kylie + Eva have added humour into them.
i like gail as she is funny especially when shes drunk but it reaaallllyyyy pisses me off how she is sticking her nose in her kids lives saying that shes protecting them. david and kylie, nick and natasha, david getting the salon and now nick and eva. corrie writers need to add "life" to this cleaner.
Gail has reverted back to her embarrassing gurning idiot persona. I did smile though at the scene yesterday "in the back" where it all happens. Stella looked a hundred times better than she did in that outfit though!
As for scenes with Dierdre, I read the pair of them dont get on and although are of similar age and have been in the street for a long long time, you rarely see them in a scene together.
Gail was priceless last night. Far more entertaining and convincing than the whispering batty-eyes in the serious stuff. Writers please note!
Helen Worth clearly has some talent as a comedy actress. Gail really surprised me last night and after over 30 years that is an achievement!
Frosty, what an interesting comment. Now that you mention it we rarely see Deidre and Gail interact. As they are close in age and have lived on the street forever you would think they would be friends in the show.
Do you have anymore interesting gossip?
If I remember right, Deirdre and Gail were friends about 20 years ago.
Did Gail and Deidre not fall out once and for all over the Tracy/Gail prison saga?
