Apologies the technical gremlins are back so a quick update. For some reason of which I am unaware Ken believes that Jodie who is busy litter picking may be a little unstable. Jodie assures Bethany that they are OK after yesterday, but then little does Bethany know what Jodie knows that Bethany (for some unknown reason) slept with Kit. As you may have guessed I do not believe this storyline. Sandra (from baby yoga) calls Jodie "Shona" in Roy's Rolls repeating the misnaming in front of Jodie's father, Doug, who has parked his camper van on the Street. Doug and Jodie return to Plattsville when David, Shona and Harper also return as David had forgotten to pack the white noise machine. Doug is hiding in the kitchen but is soon discovered and demands a private chat with Shona. Doug claims he is on his meds and Beryl (his bipolar) is under control - he named it after Shona's gran. He wants to say sorry and make a fresh start. He might not remember much from his ward stay - but he knows Shona visited. However Shona is not in forgiving mode.
Lucy (the new resident with Sally) encourages little Shanice to go to the shop even though Shanice knows it is against house rules. After some time Sally misses Shanice and Lucy refuses to answer any questions and when she tries to go upstairs Sally holds her wrist. the knocking is Brian returning the missing Shanice with Lucy smiling to herself in the background and signalling Shanice to keep it zipped. Lucy then turns it into a drama and she has the bruises to prove it showing Tim later how brutal Sally is.. Tim does not realise they have bitten off far more than they can chew with this one.
Ryan talks Bethany into doing a house call on Betsy as Carla and Lisa are in that London for the day. Kit notices that Ryan might have an interest in Bethany and encourages her to think about it to get over their guilt, Bethany is not going there she says. Ryan assists Betsy to apply to the local college which Sally had found and it looks like she can do the honours course. Bethany arrives and Ryan leaves them to a nail session. Bethany has not yet come to terms with her decision to have the surgery. She admits she made a lot of wrong decisions (and is still doing it). She admits she does not learn from her mistakes. Ryan returns just before the break and Betsy has a turn and she thinks she is having another stroke. Bethany finds Kit outside and he offers to drive Betsy to the hospital. It was a bad migraine, Betsy has had a scan and it is not a stroke and she needs to rest. She apologises for over-reacting.
Shona shows Doug an album of happy family photos (really? an album). He is not present in the album. He tells her there is no justification for his actions. Doug admits he failed her and Clayton. Doug is about to tell Shona about Jodie impersonating her but before he can Jodie bursts into the room as Harper was getting cold. Jodie throws her support behind Doug and later she tells him not to rock the boat. Doug is off for now but hopes to visit again tomorrow. Once left alone downstairs Jodie scribbles on a picture of Shona's wedding day which she then removes from the album.
The Amalfi Coast was wonderful, thank you for asking. Apologies for the poor quality of the screenshots - I will see if I can do better next week. It seems to be down to an upgrade of ITVX and a Windows upgrade - both outside my control.
