THE CLOCK IS TICKING FOR DEBBIE Debbie tells Ryan she'd like him to run the hotel while she's in prison. Kevin arrives for lunch and is fuming to find Debbie, Sally, Tim, Abi, and Tyrone waiting. Debbie assures him they only want to help but as Kevin reluctantly joins, he states he doesn't need their help. Carl appears and accuses Debbie of stabbing him in the back, railing at her for undermining him by putting Ryan in charge. Later at the flat when Debbie opens up to Carl, how will he react?
TODD STRUGGLES TO GET BY When Theo reveals that he’s off to Doncaster for the day to visit his Mum, Todd looks at his solitary ten pound note wondering how he’s going to manage. In the café, George realises he’s forgotten his wallet and asks Todd to pay the bill. Todd has little choice but to hand over his only tenner. George invites Todd to join him for a drink at the Rovers, but Todd declines. When he receives a text from Theo informing him that he’ll be staying the night at his Mum’s, Todd’s heart sinks.
SPARKS DON’T FLY FOR BERNIE When Mal arrives to start work as an electrician in Roy's flat, Bernie hides her discomfort. She suggests a cheaper electrician to Roy, but he refuses, feeling partly responsible for Mal's marriage breakdown. Later, Dev and Bernie find Mal at the Rovers. Bernie discreetly speaks with Mal, who assures her he'll keep their secret and be gone once his work at Roy's is finished.
JACK CHOOSES ABI Jack, finding no food at home and a messy living room, goes to school. He later returns with Abi and tells a devastated Kevin that he'll be staying with her for a few days to give Kevin space, as he is clearly struggling. Kevin is left heartbroken as Jack leaves with his packed bag.
ELSEWHERE Shona manages to get the phone number for her Dad's old friend, Bernard Bennett. Jodie, listening in, secretly calls Bernard and asks him for a favour.
