Coronation Street Episode Review Monday 11th August

Coronation Street airs dark warning in Todd Grimshaw affair plot | Radio Times

It's Monday, so the Theo who's appeared like Windy Miller out of the Camberwick Green musical box
is Moody Theo. Todd somewhat idiotically shows him a new pamphlet that Nasty Noah has printed showing Danielle and "me kids" as being a traditional family and Moody Theo disappears to be replaced by Meltdown Theo, accompanied by the Hollyoaks-cam. He eschews a Bistro lunch with Todd to smash up the builder's yard. Gary, somewhat surprisingly given his last employee was Mick, is quite forgiving of Mr Silverton's antics and takes him for a pint, later offering to beat up Noah for him. Nice to see a bit of Gangsta Gary back - he says of Theo that "he's a good man", which we remember was Gail's plaintive remark about Joe, a man the Windasses brought to the brink after refusing to pay him for his work, back when they were the most feared family of Weatherfield. Anyway, I'm sure nothing will go wrong!

Coronation Street Soap Scoop - Amy's big new story

It's a real shame that Aadi has had to leave the show to get a chunky storyline. I've enjoyed these last few weeks with him front and centre and I will miss Adam Hussain. Dev is sending him to be The Fresh Prince of Mumbai with Vikram, somewhat forgeting that Vikram is is Hotten now. Will Adam H turn up in the Woolpack?? Aadi has both a good day and a bad day as Amy professes her love, or at least lust, for him and they have some afternoon delight whilst her parents are out, hiding their assets, and quibbling over their divorce. But at the same time, Lauren has dobbed him into the police re: the LSD spiking, which I have to say was more Brody's fault than Aadi's. Lauren should've been less lazy and poured herself a new drink! Anyway, Lauren's verbal assault on him makes Amy change her mind about her childhood friend. It feels as if nice Aadi is suffering the suspicions of women who have been abused by other men.

Corrie Hell: Jenny Bradley Down ...

Meanwhile, Jenny is hanging around the Kabin, eating a sherbet dibdab and making eyes at men, like it's 1989. I'm pretty sure that series regular going on a date with a guest actor that leads to them getting together with other main character has been done before (Beth/Kirk, Sally/Tim) and so it is as George, resplendent in a natty new shirt, meets his app date Sammy in the pub, who only has eyes for Glenda as they realise they were BFFs back in primary school days. So it can't be long before we have Jeorge or maybe Geonny? I think they'd make a fun couple.

Oh and after an abortive life drawing class with zero nudes, Carla says to Ryan she's going to propose to Lisa, so this'll be either the first sapphic wedding on t'cobbles or it'll all go t*ts up when Lisa finds out that Carla's been visiting Logan. By the way, what's the male equivalent of a fag hag? A lezzie bezzie? I think that's Ryan, and I'm here for it.

Rachel Stevenson - on bluesky

Tina O'Brien interview: Sarah locks Eli in the office

This week, Sarah locks a potential client, Eli, in the office. What can you tell us about that?

Carla is unable to take a meeting, so Sarah enthusiastically says, ‘I’ve got this!’ But from the off, the meeting goes pear-shaped because Eli has to leave for the airport, and Sarah doesn’t read the room. She doesn’t see how stressed he is. She stupidly locks him in the office mid-pitch [once Kit arrives], which, from her point of view, she wasn’t trying to lock him in; she was just very stressed, and it was like, ‘Come on, let’s keep an eye on what we’re doing here and keep everyone else out.’ Eli assumes that Sarah is trying to come on to him – then he goes on to accuse her of sexual harassment.

What else can you tell us about the exchange between Sarah and Eli?

She pushes Eli down into the chair and says, ‘Right, stop thinking about anything else. I want you to think about our underwear.’ She’s pushed him down into the seat and he’s like, ‘What the hell…’ In her mind, she’s thinking, ‘I want to get this pitch.’ I don’t think she thinks that what she’s doing is inappropriate.

And Kit is involved in the drama too

At the beginning, Sarah is unaware about what’s happened between Kit and Eli. But to this day, I still don’t know if Kit knows that this guy was meeting Sarah, and whether that’s why Kit does it. Did Kit intentionally do it to wind up Eli and stop him getting to the meeting, or was it coincidence? I’d quite like to watch it back myself and go, ‘Oh, right!’

How does Sarah feel when she learns that David provided Eli with Kit’s details?

David throws both of them under the bus. David doesn’t like Kit, so he intentionally tries to stir the pot, which gets Sarah into even more trouble. She’s really upset with David because it’s an underhand thing to do!

And how about when she finds out that Kit intimidated Eli?

She’s now fuming at Kit as well. He lied to her and told her that he hadn’t. He tried to do the right thing, but he’s made things worse for her. She’s totally stuck in the middle. Everyone’s pointing the finger, saying that she’s sexually harassed this guy. Sarah’s like, ‘I didn’t do anything!’ She gets the blame off Carla, too. She feels pretty sorry for herself by the end of it.

Does Eli still want to proceed with the deal?

Sarah’s told that he’ll do the deal, but he wants 40% off. It feels like he’s blackmailing her, and it’s his word against hers. She’s so confused by the whole thing. Carla believes her, but she’s also annoyed that Sarah put herself in that position in the first place and caused so much drama!

Preview of today's Coronation Street - Monday 11 August 2025

Monday 11 August 2025

THEO HITS ROCK BOTTOM Theo is devastated when Todd shows him a photo of Theo’s family on a leaflet promoting ‘Traditional Family Values’ at Noah’s church. He stands Todd up for a lunch date and in a fit of rage he trashes the builder's yard. Gary returns and is horrified by what he sees. How will he react?

AADI’S LUCK CHANGES Amy finds a desolate Aadi on the bench in Victoria Garden. She pulls him in for a hug and assures him that he’s a lovely guy and she knows he never meant to harm Lauren. Back at No.1, Aadi admits to Amy that he wishes they were more than friends. Amy admits that she feels the same and they kiss passionately….As a post coital Aadi and Amy head back towards No.7, Jess approaches and tells Aadi that she’s taking him in for questioning.

CARLA AND LISA GET CREATIVE Carla and Lisa attend a life drawing class together but the evening is brought to a halt with another Betsy drama. At the factory, Betsy reluctantly shows Carla the vest tops she’s been working on and how she inadvertently printed the wrong logo on them. How will Carla react? At No.6, Carla confides in Ryan that she’s going to propose to Lisa. Ryan’s thrilled.

ELSEWHERE Steve calls at the flower shop with Cassie in tow and reveals that his solicitor has received a copy of the Preston Petals valuation and he wants what’s rightfully his. Tracy’s fuming and is certain Amy is behind the email. At No.1, Steve packs his bag and announces that he’s moving out until the divorce comes through as he’s sick of the infighting.

At No.11, George shows Glenda his new clothes and sheepishly admits he’s agreed to a date with a lady called Samantha. How will it go? Samantha and Glenda are taken aback to recognise each other from primary school and as they excitedly pull each other in for a hug, George is forced to take a back seat.
