BECKY UNMASKS HER FEELINGS FOR LISA As Carla checks out some pictures Betsy has taken of her and Lisa in their Halloween outfits, she comes across the video of Lisa and Becky modelling Betsy’s designs. Carla tells Lisa she’s going home. Betsy tells Becky how Carla saw the video, took the hump and left the party. Becky forms a plan and arrives at the party, joining Betsy at the bar. Having selected the track to which they had their first wedding dance, Becky reminds Lisa of their vows and how she meant every word. Telling her they were happy once and could be again, will Becky make her move?

THE NEW FAMILY SETTLE OLD GRIEVANCES Eva’s pleased to see Adam and invites him to the Rovers Halloween party. When Eva later finds a man dressed as a vampire in the back room she throws her arms around him, assuming it’s Ben, but is shocked to discover it’s Adam. As Adam hurries out he leaves his briefcase behind. Ben’s amused. Eva comes clean to Ben and explains that Adam is an ex boyfriend but he’s no reason to be jealous. Having overheard, Maggie wonders how many more skeletons Eva’s got in the closet.

CARL USES DEBBIE’S DEMENTIA AGAINST HER Having been thrown out of the pub by Ben, James finds Carl in the backyard and assures him that despite his recent behaviour, he still cares about him. They’re startled when Debbie appears. How much has she heard? Kevin tells Debbie he misses her and he’d like to put their differences behind them. Debbie’s pleased. Carl suggests to Kevin that they too should bury the hatchet for Debbie’s sake as her dementia is clearly getting worse. Will Kevin agree?

ELSEWHERE Cassie moans to Steve about her lack of job. When Steve offers her some shifts on the switch at Street Cars, Cassie’s delighted, despite Tracy’s interference.

Preview of today's Coronation Street - Thursday 30 October 2025

Thursday 30th October

BEN GETS BETWEEN A FAMILY DISPUTE Having admired the new sign over the door with her name on it, Eva calls a staff meeting to outline plans for a halloween party. When Maggie reveals that Eva might be the landlady, but she’s Eva’s boss, Sean, Glenda, Lauren and Gemma are confused. Dee-Dee calls to tell Ollie that the case against him has been dropped. Ollie explains how he was involved in a car accident and it transpired that the car had a dodgy MOT. Having overheard, Kevin wades in and pointing to Carl, reveals he’s the expert in dodgy MOTs. As the men square up to each other, Eva chucks Kevin out. Carl marches over to the garage and remonstrates with Kevin for showing him up in the pub.

ASHA’S IN TROUBLE As Asha helps out with party preparations for the quads birthdays it’s clear she’s struggling. Gemma finds Asha outside and tells her about her own depression and how she eventually learnt to control her dark thoughts. As Gemma leaves, Asha thanks her. But once alone, Asha hears Naomi’s voice in her head and relives her recent trauma. Maggie comes across Asha and seeing she’s upset, encourages her to share her troubles. Maggie gently questions Asha who opens up about life as a paramedic and her attempted suicide. When Maggie suggests she must have helped people in similar situations in her line of work and it’s time she showed herself the same kindness, her words strike a chord.

BECKY RUINS CARLA’S RETURN Lisa tells Roy that Carla is due home today, she can’t wait to see her and any feelings she had for Becky are in the past. But when Becky purposely lets slip that she’s been staying over at No.6, Carla’s taken aback.

ELSEWHERE Hope finds Jake in the cafĂ© and, convinced he’s behind the nasty messages, grabs his phone and smashes it. Gary and Izzy call to talk to Tyrone about the ongoing feud but it’s news to Tyrone, Fiz having kept it from him feeling he didn’t need the added stress.

Coronation Street Episode Review Monday 27th October

BEN - EVA - CORONATION STREET - ITV

Eva Flaming Price! She's back and has brought a horrible directorial style with her, all jump cuts, weird camera angles and unnecessary close-ups. She's come all the way from Hull in a handcart, according to Sean, as her fella has bought the Rovers for her. I hope it's both her Xmas and birthday present, otherwise it's going to make all other boyfriends look bad. Apart from the fact that Ben has "forgotten" to pay Carla for the pub.

EVA - LEANNE - SUSIE - CORONATION STREET - ITV

Unlike Maria, I am glad to see her back as a) I was a fan, b) she's brought a handsome Irish man with her and c) I'm hoping it'll give us a little bit of respite from i) the misery of Asha ii) the abuse by Theo (no disrespect to either actor, they've both been great) and iii) the stalking of Swain by the undead Becky, shuffling around the street like a zombie in that horrid parka, although I suppose it is Hallowe'ek, so she fits in.

NICK - TOYAH - CORONATION STREET - ITV

The reappearance of Ms Price affects most of the residents, and so Nick uses the opportunity to propose to Toyah, interrupted by Leanne, obviously. There is the patented stomping off, the chucked drinks and meltdowns in the pub, before Eva throws everyone out so that they can have a Battersby-Price pow-wow. Eva, who was always the drama queen's drama queen, is the voice of reason, who says she doesn't want history repeating with sisters not putting themselves before misters, and as they take the much needed piss out of Nick (as they note they've all "had a go on him"), they seem to come to some kind of equilibrium and a lock-in. Which is immediately ruined by the arrival of Maggie (MRS DOYLE), Eva's mother in law, who is the actual landlady as she's stumped up the cash necessary. Well she can't be worse than St Stella.

We also find out why Ollie was so interested in Toyah the other week as they're (very) tangentially related; he is the son of Eva's new fella. How old is he supposed to be!? Ben and Deedee get off on the wrong foot as he calls her darling and tries to move her onto another table as she does office work in the pub.

Hope wants to go to a Hallowe'en party as Wednesday Adams, so she goes to the salon for hair dyeing, only to see Jake smirking at his phone seconds after she receives a nasty message and she accuses him, to his consternation. This is presumably to set up conflict between the Stape-Dobbses and the Connor-Windasses, but I think we know it's Ruby who's the perp, isn't it?

Rachel Stevenson - on bluesky
