On this episode of the podcast, we chat about what went on on the Street between the 2nd and the 5th November (Episodes #11,974 - #11,977).
We were only half-joking in the last podcast when we suggested that Carla would be begging to sell up to Idris by the end of this week, but although she's not quite down on her knees yet, it doesn't seem like she's too far off! Yes, thanks to a little bit of help from Brody (combined with the factory's seemingly malfunctioning CCTV and burglar alarms?), Carla ends up with a whole load of soggy stock this week - has Iris become Underworld's only hope of salvation? Meanwhile, a punch-up between Adam and Daniel inadvertently leads to Marco's appeal hearing being cancelled, and we can't help bit feel things are going to start getting even darker for Gary's new cellmate... Also this week, Christina decides it's time she visited Richie, Bernie's on pins as Gemma awaits her test results, and Debbie makes a tough decision about her future.
We round off the show with more of your feedback on the recent goings on in Weatherfield.

This week’s bonus podcast is a character profile of two of Coronation Street’s original residents – Frank and Ida Barlow! As Ken’s parents, the pair were at the heart of some of the show’s earliest family dramas, from clashes over Ken’s university education and political views to the tragedy of Ida’s sudden death less than a year into the programme’s run. But there was plenty more to Frank’s story after he was left a widower, including romantic entanglements with Florrie Lindley and Christine Appleby, a new business venture and an unexpected windfall that eventually took him away from the cobbles. We wind the clock right back to 1960 to revisit the lives of the couple, discussing their most memorable moments and asking how well these two early Corrie characters stand up more than 65 years after their debut!
