CHANCE WOULD BE A FINE THING FOR KIT Kit attends an appointment with the breast cancer consultant to tell him his next steps. At the station, Lisa puts pressure on Kit to find Luke Cookson’s murderer. When Kit snaps at her, Lisa voices her concerns to Bernie. Kit chases after a young lad, accusing him of murdering Luke and spoiling for a fight. Sporting two black eyes, Kit joins the family for pizza night. Worried for him, Bernie tells Kit that she has a good feeling about her cancer test and is certain she’ll get the all clear. Will Kit open up to Bernie?
SHONA’S LOSING GRIP OF HER SANITY Shona hears Harper crying, but as she goes to fetch her, David enters from the garden carrying a happy smiley Harper. Shona gets upset, convinced she must be hearing things. David accompanies Shona to the doctor’s. While Shona naps, Jodie remarks to David that it must be difficult being a carer and a single parent. David asserts that it’s only a blip.
DEBBIE RUINS HER EVENING With Carl struggling to find work, Debbie suggests he could return to the hotel but Ronnie’s quick to close it down. When Carl later reminds Debbie she was meant to be meeting Ronnie for dinner, Debbie calls Ronnie and lies, making out she got waylaid at work. Carl listens with concern.
ELSEWHERE As Glenda assures Susie that she’s a star in the making, Ben reckons Glenda should be punished for encouraging her. Summer tells Asha and Amy that she’s arranged another date with Marco.
