Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 21st of Nov 8.30pm

As promised, here is my part two review of this Wednesday's Coronation Street.

Tim and Sally's marriage woes are continuing to be played out in Court.
Dodgy Duncan's dastardly lies are causing doubt for her husband but Paula's evidence may turn the case around. If Sally can prove where she was on her Birthday, they may have evidence to blow Duncan's defence  apart and free the (second) Weatherfield one!.


Gemma remains unconvinced that Chesney didn't call the police and still pours a pint over his head, before heading to meet Spike at the Cop Shop. Although released without charge, Gemma still thinks Chesney tipped them off.

Bottling his feelings for Gemma maybe, Emma decides to give Chesney a bottle too; of spray tan! (cue hilarious jibes from Jenny Bradley).

However, it seems Spike isn't as green as he is cabbage looking, when he informs Gemma that Chesney obviously didn't grass him up. No, he did that himself, and he tells the barmaid it's blatantly obvious that Chesney fancies her, like really fancies her!. Spike exits via the beer garden - and the couple split up. Gemma apologises but Chesney remains unforgiving and departs with Emma. The course of true love.. and all that?.


Ryan and Bethany are also at The Rovers and decide to start their first date again. Skint and downhearted, Bethany decides she needs a second job, and in true Corrie style, Ryan knows of a job going; at The Bistro!. Will Bethany stall the 'Brothers Grimm's constant bickering?.

Brian also treats The Rovers to his theatrical Nativity plans, however, Phil remains unimpressed with the Tolkien mash-up (not the only one to be honest).

Round at Kevin's, young Jack realises that Sally visited him in the hospital on her Birthday. This should contradict Duncan's story of flowers and hotels BUT it may take time to retrieve the Hospital CCTV, as evidence. Unlikely that another adjournment can take place, it would need Sally to fall ill, or something like that, to hold off the court case for a few days. So Sophie calls Sally and decides on a plan. Will Sally also play dirty, or will the plan backfire?.

Roll on Friday - I cant wait to find out.

Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 21st of Nov 7.30pm

Welcome to Wednesday's edition of the Coronation Street Blog and the first of last nights two episode reviews.

Tim's ties to Gina continue to rock his relationship with wife Sally. As her trial against Duncan heads to the courtroom, Tim is nowhere to be seen.

Arrested again (and for drink driving no less), being Gina's saviour means Tim absence is duly noted, but luckily, he is freed by Weatherfield cops & just in the nick of time. Sophie also apologises to the pompous QC she offended, who unluckily, is in charge of Sally's trial.

Arriving later than planned, Gina and Tim crash into the court, just as Duncan takes to the stand.

Over on Coronation Street, Emma takes Chesney for a run around the Red Rec whilst Gemma fawns over the newly blossoming relationship. No fawning for Chesney though, as the local Pizza shop is broken into, and he suspects Gemma's dodgy partner Spike. Suddenly offering the barmaid a Blackpool break with a wad of cash, it appears Chesney may be correct. At The Rovers, the police arrest Spike and Gemma suspects that Chesney has called them.

Back in court, Dodgy Duncan denies all criminality and sticks to his nefarious lie of Sally seducing him  for fraudulent gains.

Taking the stand, Paula offers a counter-argument (the truth), yet a confident Duncan quivers not once. As Sally's husband subtly observes the fraudsters opening defence statement, Duncan attacks Tim's character (spouting Sally's supposed verbatim) which causes the fraught cabbie to weight up the caustic comments.

Sally breaks under the pressure of the lies and shouts out in anger, causing an early adjournment of court.

In the holding cell, Tim visits Sally and sheepishly informs her of his arrest. Fuming Sally is enraged and Tim breaks under the strain of the afternoons opening drama.

Its seems Tim's rescue of Gina, may be the beginning of the end, for this once promising marriage?.

In other news; Brian gets asked to produce the school nativity and Maria takes charge again at Audrey's Salon.

Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 14th of Nov 8.30pm

As promised, here is the part two review of this Wednesday's Coronation Street.

At the Florists, Abi's pleas for Ken to not call the police go unheeded. As Seb flees the scene, Abi is arrested, and Tracy returns to the scene of the crime. Surveying the damage, the florist picks up her blood splattered sweeping brush.

Simons decision to jump ship out of Coronation Street cant seem a surprise to many, if any, and certainly not to Peter and Leanne. His stepmother, however, seems determined to stop his dream. Roping Gary into dispelling the youngster's vision of utopian armed forces, Simon still seems intent on boarding the next ship out of Weatherfield (via Salford Quays, perhaps).

Maria's dreams also seem to be changing as she officially departs from Claudia's franchise, but receives some bad news from her former business partner.

Sinead's new friend (and cancer sufferer) Steff, offers solidarity, support and odd dietary advice. As a result, a rather vulnerable Sinead rethinks her chemotherapy (again).


At The Rovers, Seb wallows in self-pity and gains nothing from talking to Tracy and Ken. Spotting blood on his hand, Tracy quickly realises it was Seb who trashed the shop. Abi admits nothing to the police and faces a court date on Friday, but first faces Tracy. Laying threats to her former best friend, its now clear that Tracy has another new enemy, which can only promise more drama on the street.

Bring it on!

Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 14th of Nov 7.30pm

Welcome to Wednesday's edition of the Coronation Street Blog and the first of tonight's two episode reviews.

Tonight started out that little bit different didn't it?.

Eric Spears (original composer) would have been proud. Even as a maudlin piano piece, it was still instantly recognisable and added another layer to tonight's drama!.

With that aside, lets recap on this Wednesdays opening episode.

At the hospital, Tracy's guilty conscience finally comes to the fore and the truth about the garage tampering is revealed.. Hitting the self-destruct button (but strangely not Tracy) Abi is left reeling, and at her lowest ebb. With the secret out, and social services paying another visit, Abi's fraught emotions finally relent and she decides to give up the twins for good!. Although cautious, social services are in agreement. Seb, however, is angry and anguished; raging in fact.

After Monday's hairdressing awards,  Maria has finally seen Claudia's true colours. Deciding to disown the Salon franchise idea, Maria confides in Rita.

It seems Audrey impassioned awards speech (meme/viral hit/gif) has won her former prodigy over, and a new business partner in Rita. Is this the dawn of a new era for the Streets Salon?.

Over on Rosamund Street and seeing the florists empty, Seb decides to break in, before being caught by Abi. As Ken raises the alarm, will Abi take the blame again?.

In other news; Carla and Robert show support for Daniel and Sinead, and Simon decides to join the Navy.

Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 7th of Nov 8.30pm

As promised, here is the part two review of this Wednesday's Coronation Street.

Back at Number 9, Ty's Nan Evelyn gives up her heist of Vera's jewellery. The grouchy Grandma's caustic attitude has upset her grandson, but after a heartfelt confession, it seems that blood does run thicker than water. Fiz however, remains staunchly unapologetic, in her opinion of his Gran.

At The Rovers, Man-eating Moira fawns over Imran, and Gina continues to pour her heart out to Fiz, about Tim. Fiz, never a keeper of secrets subtly tells Tim's Dad, Geoff, about their chat in the snug.

Meanwhile, at HMP Norcross, Tim relays the news of Duncan's damning evidence to Sally. Dreaming of release and yoga mats, Sally realises that it might be time for Gina to fly the nest.

At The Bistro, Nick fills Carla in on his Nottingham adventures. The new factory boss merely confesses to dodging dodgy tax receipts, but on a late night call at the office, it appears there is an E in HRMC, his other 'business partner' is a lady called Elsa.

Sophie's legal luncheon doesn't quite go to plan as Paula's pompous colleagues, and the Speed Daal manageress, continue to clash. Relinquishing her managerial responsibilities, its left to Paula to confirm to Sophie that she's just upset Sally's court QC!.

Back at Sally's house, Gina finds out about her sister's yoga plans and threatens to leave. Tim's charm (or stomach) convince her to stay. Out of Gina's earshot, Geoff pay a quick visit and warns Tim to tread carefully around Gina. Will Tim heed the warning?...
