BERNIE PROTESTS HER INNOCENCE Kit visits Bernie in her police cell who assures him of her innocence. Under interview, Bernie tells DC Browning how she spent a night with Mal, but only as friends and since then he’s been stalking and harassing her. Is Bernie telling the truth?
GEORGE FEARS HIS REPUTATION IS DEAD A man enters the undertakers and introduces himself as Damien, Mrs Ripley’s son. Damien thanks George for agreeing to oversee his Mum’s funeral, but as George and Christina see him out, Annie approaches and asserts that Shuttleworths are not to be trusted, Damien thanks her for the warning and vows to take his business elsewhere.
