Coronation Street delivers in excess of 262 episodes a year, has been running for 55 years and holds, without doubt, a truly special place in TV. Our crews work 50 weeks of the year, enabling delivery and transmission 52 weeks of the year.
We have opportunities for two experienced Script Supervisors to assist both the Editorial and Production Teams in the successful and accurate delivery of Coronation Street’s drama production, managing the scripts throughout the production process and training and mentoring any Trainees or Freelance Script Supervisors that join our team.
You will time scripts as required, and liaise with our editorial team regarding any cuts or additions to scripts required for filming. Dealing with all relevant paperwork connected with the production, including the scripts; camera scripts; camera cards; continuity notes, amendments etc, and arrange cleared tv footage for play ins.
We will look to you to liaise with the Director regarding music and copyright clearance, accurately logging details of each shot, keeping a true account of the episode timings, recording time code for takes and wild-tracks, checking continuity and passing any relevant information on to members of the cast, crew and production team, writing up all edit notes on the completion of each day’s shoot using Adobe Story Script System.
As our Script Supervisor you have a flexible approach to your work as shooting will involve long, irregular hours, working on location and in studio, depending on schedules. You must have the ability to work with people across all levels, including cast working to tight deadlines. You will competent with IT including Google docs; Word; Excel and have experience working in a multi-camera drama television production.
If you have the skills we need, are confident making suggestions and find solutions to a variety of script related issues, with an excellent eye for detail and first class communication skills then we want to hear from you.
