She's back from her bikini boot camp and Ken wants her renamed Fantastic Brenda. Want to find out more about the Siren from Streetcars? Then get your tickets - because they are going fast - to see Fat Brenda live on stage in Harrogate next weekend.
Fat Brenda: My Flamin' Story is a brend new play which opens at the Harrogate Theatre on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 April before heading out on a national tour.
From the Theatre Website: "Coronation Street has had its fair share of strong female characters over the years but there is one you have never seen – maybe never even heard of - and she’s been patiently waiting for her turn in the spotlight: Fat Brenda.
Brenda has met a fella on Twitter who has promised to take her away to a better life. But will she finally be able to escape Weatherfield or do all cobbled roads lead back to Coronation Street?
Brenda talks us through her world, her thoughts, fantasies and beliefs while she prepares to change her life forever. It’s more a night out than a night at the theatre and features Brenda’s favourite things; dancing, singing, tweeting, smoking, bingo and God’s representative on Earth: Cliff Richard.
Played by Steve Huison – star of The Full Monty and Coronation Street - this unmissable new comedy opens at Harrogate Theatre before heading out on a national tour."
