The Southport Visiter (yes, that is the correct spelling, it's historic) has an interview with Tom Burroughs, the man who's about to drive a tram off the viaduct.
Tom gives a little insight into the upcoming disaster, and the catalogue of misery that's going to follow. However, unsurprisingly, he doesn't give too much away. He does reveal that he didn't receive his script until the day of filming, and even now he can't say if his character dies or not.
You can read the full interview here.
