Bruno Langley, who plays Todd Grimshaw on Coronation Street, says he'd like to see Todd's dad turn up on the Street.
In an interview with Radio Times, Bruno says: "I always wonder if they're going to bring Todd's dad into the show. We've had a couple of different actors playing Jason's dad and I really like seeing that father-son dynamic.
"The dads have never really been there for the two Grimshaw brothers, so Todd must feel a bit abandoned. I remember years ago that there was mention of Todd being the result of a one-night stand that Eileen had."
What do you think, Corrie fans? Should we see Todd's dad turn up on the cobbles? I'd like to see him, I must admit. It'd give Eileen something to do for a while too.

Only if he takes Todd away with him.
I thought it was also said that Todd's father wanted to marry Eileen, but she panicked and bolted.
Only if he takes Todd away with him.
A very enthusiastic (and predictable) "yes" from me. Anything that expands Todd's world and back story is a positive as far as I'm concerned.
Definitely. I feel sure that Todd must have encountered his father in That London and it went very badly. I can't think of much of such. significance to have made him so bitter. And rather tellingly, when the balloon went up over Todd's plotting, he asked "What's Jason got that I haven't got?" To which Eileen tartly replied "A father who wants him", at which Todd went silent. They played a very long game with Todd's original coming out story, and they're doing the same here. You mark my words, Todd's backstory is going to involve Daddy Issues!
No doubt this too shall come to pass, as the writers thrive on recycling story lines. However, perhaps it may lead to an explanation as to what happened to Todd in London?
If they're going down this route, make it soon. We were told that we would eventually find out what happened to Todd in London, but perhaps it's too late now. Like others, I think Todd probably traced his father who was a disappointment in some way. He might have a similar personality to Tony, which is why Todd wanted his approval, but having absolutely no interest in his son. Only business would bring him north. I don't want to see a re-run of Tony/Michael trying to make amends for the past.
