I did a little search on Google Maps and found the new home of Corrie, next to the Imperial War Museum North, take a look here.
With the set move going ahead, what kind of additions would like to see to the set? It'd be great if they added Mawdsley Street at long last, or Jubilee Terrace, complete with Flying Horse. Personally, I'd like to see Viaduct Street and Rosamund Street extended.

I'd like to see a museum that fans can visit where the old props and costumers are on display, etc. and a tea-room where Betty's hotpot is on sale
I hope that the science museum manages to buy the Granada set, it'd be a shame to see it replaced by high rise apartments
I agree, FN. It would really boost tourism - currently, all that visiting Canadians can do is peer in from the studio gates!
It will be handy having the new location right on the Irwell, they could build a permanent ramp for the purpose of launching various vehicles into the water! :-)
If they do build the new set there, then I'd like to see something attributed to the original title of Coronation Street in the construction.
It's a pity they couldn't have moved a bit quicker i.e immediately after the 50th birthday. That way they could have destroyed even more of the homes, and any differences in the new set would be believably explained away by the rebuilding.
I remember it took me years to completely accept the set when they last rebuilt it. And the pointing in the brickwork still doesn't look right.
