If you remember, last year I had a series of posts looking at the top 12 faces of each Corrie decade - the 1960s, the 1970s, the 1980s, the 1990s and the 2000s. For the next few weeks or so, I’ll be looking at the top 12 faces of each year between 1960 and 2013.

Chris Fountain makes apology - full statement

According to today's Daily Star, ex-Coronation Street actor Chris Fountain has made a statement after being kicked off Corrie yesterday for the rape rap scandal.  The statement is as follows:

 "I completely understand that ITV had no choice but to terminate my contract today. I have had two wonderful years playing Tommy Duckworth with only happy memories of my time on Coronation Street.

I am mortified that I have brought so much embarrassment to my colleagues and employers these last few days. My biggest regret however is not to do with losing my job, but that I have hurt and let down so many people including those in a vulnerable situation and I am so very deeply ashamed of this.

"There is absolutely no excuse - I take complete responsibility for my actions - but they were in no way thought out or represent at all my attitude towards women, rape and violence. I just want to apologise from the bottom of my heart to everyone who I have offended or upset.

"I am also mortified to have put my mother, grandad and girlfriend through the last few days which they are hurt and bewildered by and so do not deserve. I am so sorry. Once again to everyone who I have let down and hurt. I am deeply sorry."

Chris Fountain's actions have been condemned by charities, women's groups and MPs.

Fay Maxted, chief executive of the Survivors Trust – an umbrella agency for more than 135 specialist rape, sexual violence and childhood sexual abuse support organisations – said last week: "He is a role model for young people. It almost seems like he's making a joke of something that really isn't funny."

Corrie have already filmed Tommy Duckworth's exit

The Daily Star say today that Corrie bosses have already filmed the scenes which will cover Tommy Duckworth's exit from the soap.

In a last-minute scene added yesterday, it is revealed that Tommy has left Weatherfield after a fight with his girlfriend Tina McIntyre.

Tina returns to the flat to discover her ex David Platt asleep. David tells Tina: “Tommy proper kicked off. He packed a bag and went off to the airport.”

I wonder if Tommy will return in three years time with a different head?

Chris Fountain's contract with Coronation Street has been terminated

Chris Fountain's ITV contract has been terminated as a result of "unacceptable comments" made in online clips.

This is the tweet which has just reached us from @LauraTVBiz at The Sun.

Chris has been suspended from work since Friday last week after being found rapping on YouTube about rape and violence.

He met with Corrie bosses today, and it appears, has now had his contract terminated. I think that's a polite way of saying he's been sacked.

An ITV spokesman said: "Chris Fountain's contract with ITV has been terminated as a result of the unacceptable comments he made in a number of online clips."

Chris Fountain suspended from Coronation Street over rape song

UPDATE: Radio Times reports that Chris Fountain will still appear as Tommy Duckworth in upcoming Corrie episodes, and not be edited out.

There's a disturbing story in today's Mirror that says Chris Fountain, who plays Tommy Duckworth, has allegedly been suspended from work at Coronation Street after rapping online about rape.

The Mirror says that in a video posted on YouTube Chris performed in a mask as his alter-ego The Phantom. Wearing a zombie Halloween mask and baseball cap covered by a hoodie he rants about rape and violence.

Chris, who has played mechanic Tommy Duckworth since 2011, said: “I would like to sincerely apologise for any offence I have caused. I am deeply ashamed by the lyrics and very much regret my behaviour. The videos were made over a year ago when I was experimenting with music and I’ve not done anything like it since, nor will I.”

A statement from ITV said: "ITV find both the language used and the views expressed in this video totally unacceptable. Chris Fountain has been suspended pending further inquiries into this matter."

Would you miss Tommy Duckworth if he left with Tina?

There was a story in this weekend's Daily Star on Sunday saying that Chris Fountain, who plays Tommy Duckworth in Coronation Street, is worried that he might be leaving the show as he's not had his contract renewed yet.

Quotes attributed to Chris in the Star say: “I’m contracted until February and then my three-year deal is up. We’ve not had any talks yet about what they have in store for me. I don’t know if they will keep me, I’ll have to wait and see but I would love to stay.”

Talking about Michelle Keegan's exit from the show as Tina McIntyre, Chris says: “I don’t have a clue what happens or how she leaves. I don’t think even Michelle knows. I imagine we will still be together when she leaves but whatever happens I’m sure she’s going to have an exciting and dramatic exit which hopefully I will be involved in.”

So then, Corrie fans. If Tommy Duckworth was to leave Coronation Street with Tina, would you miss him?

Is baby Jake really Tina and Tommy's child?

As one of our readers pointed out by leaving a comment on this blog post here, the baby that Tina has handed over to Izzy and Gary, might not be Izzy and Gary's after all.

Hang on, bear with me, this isn't another discussion about surrogacy. It's about the fact that, as our commenter says: "Doesn't anyone remember that Tina and Tommy slept together the night before the surrogacy procedure was performed? Hmmmm"

Well, I had forgotten it, that's for sure.  So there's every chance that the baby could be Tina and Tommy's and if it is, and Gary's gone and got his name on the birth certificate, it could lead to all manner of carry on for the future.

Cue that famous scene from EastEnders:
"You ain't mah muvver!"
"Yes Iyam!"

Who would you like to see do a Terry Duckworth?

I will warn you from the off, this blog is not going to be terribly politically correct, and is probably all the better for that. If you are in any way squeamish, please do look away now.

As we are all getting excited amidst the build up to Rovers Fire: The Next Generation, I decided to watch again the benchmark in Rovers Return dramas - the original fire from 1986. One thing struck me that I'd previously forgotten about, although I don't know why. Young Terry Duckworth is almost something of a hero. Tearing about, helping neighbours and looking out for his mate, Kev. What I also noticed was that for the vast majority of the episode, our Terry runs about in nowt but a pair of jogging bottoms. I'm sure that was a treat for the audience of the day!

This made me wonder who we'd all like to replicate this dynamic performance in 2013. Rather than bring Terry back for a repeat performance (let's just not go there!) I thought it would be a good idea to look at the possible contenders and see who's the most popular. Given that there will be a strip show taking place in the run up to the fire, it seemed like common sense to me!

The obvious choice would be young Tommy Duckworth, following in his father's notorious footsteps. Or would you rather see the lovely Dr Matt running down the cobbles with his stethoscope a-dangle? It's a pity Tyrone is currently banged up as a guest of Her Majesty, but there's always that gruesome twosome, Rob Donovan and Ryan Connor to light up your evening! Or there's always old Nicky Tilsley, minus his 90's abdominal muscles? 

Of course there is a very obvious contender I've left out: our Norris Cole. I'm sure that's a spectacle that would make all Mary Taylor's dreams come true at once!

Meet Michelle Keegan and Chris Fountain on Saturday 17 November

Coronation Street's Michelle Keegan (Tina McIntyre) and Chris Fountain (Tommy Duckworth) are lined up to flick the Christmas switch to turn on Reading's Christmas lights tomorrow, Saturday 17 November.

If you'd like to see them, get yourself down to Broad Street Mall in Reading. Santa’s grotto will open at 10am. The spotlight will be on the stage from 11am, when performances by Has Reading Got Talent? finalists will begin.

And then at 4pm, the Corrie couple will push the plunger and turn the mall into a magical Arctic-themed wonderland. When the deed is done, the Reading-based SOTA (School Of The Arts) rock choir will lift the roof.

Coronation Street fans will be able to grab an autograph at 4.30pm with Michelle Keegan and Chris Fountain.

Predictions about the Corrie surrogacy storyline

There have been a lot of negative comments about the surrogacy storyline. People already think it's gone on too long and are getting frustrated with it. Not me.

I am enjoying it and enjoying thinking about what's going to happen. I didn't think Katy would be the surrogate because of the finances. But then Owen got involved and Katy got uninvolved and now Tina has decided to do it for the money to bail out Tommy's debts.

On the surface, it seems like the perfect fit, even if it's not strictly legal to be paying money for it but that never stopped Owen before.  It seems to be the kiss of death for Tina and Tommy's relationship and Gary has latched on to the new plan with his usual single-mindedness. He's determined to persuade anyone and everyone that needs it in order to become a dad.

But I don't think it's going to succeed. And this time maybe it will definitely come down to the cash. Rita has offered her Favourite money in the past and it may be Tina's turn this time. It would get Tyrone and Kirsty off their backs and it would pay off Tommy's debts. They'd still owe money but at least Rita wouldn't be rubbing their noses in it at every turn. Owen's not made of money and I don't think he'd end up being able to afford the 15K plus 7K every time they have to do the treatment because it doesn't work first time out.

In the end, debts will be paid and there will be no baby. Gary gets to love Izzy and they'll probably get a puppy that will be forgotten and will disappear in about 8 months. 

Like it or not, where do you think this is going? Will there be a baby at the end of it?

Interview with Chris Fountain on playing Tommy Duckworth

There's an interview with Chris Fountain, who plays Coronation Street's Tommy Duckworth, in today's Sun. It's one of those interviews with a lot of words, that takes up a lot of space, but doesn't say much at all. It does however have a picture of Chris Fountain with his top off, which if you're a Chris/Tommy fan is probably worth a look.

Chris talks about his kissing scenes with soap's official sexiest woman Michelle Keegan, who plays Tommy's girlfriend Tina, and says he misses his own girlfriend as they have a long distance relationship.

What I did find interesting was that Chris was a child stage actor. He was in a tour of Les Miserables when he was ten and played the Artful Dodger in a tour of Oliver. At 13, he had his first TV role in Bob & Rose, before going on to appear in Emmerdale, Where The Heart Is and The Royal before joining Hollyoaks at 15.

Last night's Corrie had everything good

I've just finished watching last night's installment of Coronation Street and by 'eck it were good!

Drama, danger, and a little touch of a smile just for good measure, like that spoonful of sugar, you know?

We had Terry Duckworth in a panic because his bent councillor got caught out and he said his club was down the pipes, complete with thugs roughing over he and Tommy. Terry was almost believable, too, until that little smirk over Tommy's shoulder at the end when he "reluctantly" accepted Tommy's offer of cash. Anyone else think the next call he made after he called Tommy was to the sharks? Me too.

Julie and Brian are facing a health crisis. Julie is not only facing the possibility of never have children but has to fear that a growth could be something more serious. I'm not sure which was upsetting her more but the scenes were very good. Doctor Matt tried to be reassuring but knowing it could go either way. Brian, for once, being serious and supportive rather than making a foot-in-mouth comment. Eileen and all the other factory friends, shocked and concerned. We all hope Julie will be just fine. (We all assume Brian has already had that vasectomy reversed like he said he'd do, or have they forgotten about that already?)

Elsewhere, Kirsty and Tyrone were triumphant. They managed to get the bent councillor in trouble and it looked like the campaign to thwart the lap dancing club was won. But Kirsty got suspended and Tyrone, thinking he was helping, found her a temporary job "stuffing knickers into boxes" which appalled Kirsty. Her impulsiveness has got her in trouble again and if she does keep her job after the investigation, she'll probably only ever be a desk cop. She and Officer Hooch can commiserate in the canteen over bad coffee.

She got herself so overwrought that she lashed out, blaming Tyrone, and whacked him with a metal soup ladle!! Even though I knew it was coming, it was still shocking! Natalie Gumede really knocked it out of the park. Excellent performances by both she and Alan Halsall!

When I first heard that Kevin might give Jack to Pam and Bill so that he could keep Sally, well, the insults Pam hurled at him were compliments compared to my opinion of Kevin Flamin' Webster. But in the end, Kevin did the right thing. He couldn't give up Jack even knowing Sally wouldn't have him back because of it. I hope Sally doesn't take Kevin back in the end. They both need to find something and someone new in their lives rather than going around the same old same old all the time. I would have liked Sally to remind Kevin that if the situation was reversed, his feelings towards a child she had from an affair would probably be no different.

And a little bit of everyday life, with Gail replanting her blooms and Mary bullying Norris. Life goes on.

Joe McIntyre's past set to come back to haunt Tina

Digital Spy says that Rick Neelan, the loan shark who hounded Joe McIntyre for money is set to return, this time he's after money that Terry owes him.

When Rick sees that Tina is involved he once again becomes menacing toward her and Tommy, telling them he wants the money paid back, quickly.

Terry suggests to the pair that they burn down Se7evnth Heaven to get the insurance money that owe Rick. Will they go through with the plan? More importantly, will the plan work?

The life of Tommy Duckworth

Terry Duckworth is back on our screens and hes going to get to know his son Tommy. Worse yet, Tommy is going to get to know his father and we can pretty much tell how that's going to work out, can't we?  Tommy might have a bit of Terry's cheek and charm (well, ok, the cheek and charm Terry had as a young man Tommy's age), but he's got the gentleness of his mother, Lisa too.

With that in mind, lets look back on the life of Tommy Duckworth.

Terry Duckworth's children

Earlier this week when appearing on ITV's This Morning, Coronation Street Producer Phil Collinson surprised some by admitting he was unaware of the existence of Terry Duckworth's son, Brad Armstrong. So just for his benefit here's a brief potted history of those of Terry's offspring that we know about. Let's face it, he's spent quite a lot of time away from the Street and with his track record there's no small chance that there are others around, waiting to crawl out of the woodwork.

Paul Clayton (b. 1986)

Trombone playing milkman Harry Clayton bought no. 11 off Bill Webster in 1985 and moved in with his wife, Connie and two daughters Andrea and Sue. Andrea started seeing Terry Duckworth but her parents disapproved as they thought she should have been spending more time studying for her A levels and so the pair continued to see each other behind their backs.

The family fell out with the Duckworth's after seamstress Connie ran up a dress for Vera out of some silver lurex that Jack had acquired. Vera hated the finished article and refused to pay for it despite it having been made to her specification. The feud drove a wedge between Andrea and Terry and he tried to ease the situation by paying the bill himself. But it was too late, Andrea finished with Terry and he was stunned, especially when he found out that she was pregnant. He wanted to be involved with their child but Andrea refused and after Vera started to voice plans for her grandchild's future, the Clayton's packed up and moved to Sheffield.

Word eventually got back to Terry that his son, Paul had been born but no more was seen or heard of him until Andrea turned up at the Duckworth's in 2000 in search of a kidney donor for him. Tempted by an inducement of £25000 from Jack, Terry agreed to be the donor but at the last minute he did a runner with the money, leaving his mother to deputise for him.

Paul turned up again in 2007 when he ripped off his grandfather to buy into Lenne Battersby's restaurant which he ended up torching for the insurance money before being caught and then fleeing the country.


Tommy Duckworth (b. 9 September 1992)

Terry fetched up back on the Street in 1992 with his pregnant girlfriend Lisa Horton in tow. Terry didn't stay very long as he ended up in Strangeways on a GBH charge but got day release in order to marry Lisa. After the ceremony Terry was off again but was soon caught and jailed for three years. With Terry in prison, Lisa moved in with her in-laws and Tommy was born later in the year by caesarean section. After Lisa was knocked over by a car on the Street and killed, Jack and Vera looked after Tommy but found it a struggle. When Terry was released from prison on parole, he struck a deal with Tommy's other grandparents, Jeff and Doreen Horton and sold them his son, breaking Vera's heart.

Jack and Vera continued to see Tommy on their frequent visits to Blackpool but he wasn't seen on the Street until he returned from travelling in 2011, unaware of the deaths of Jack and Vera.

Brad Armstrong (b. 14 February 1997)

When Tricia Armstrong moved in to No.1 to look after it for Mike Bladwin in 1994, she befriended Jack and Vera. A couple of years later she met Terry who was back again to try to extract more money from Jeff Horton for Tommy and his parents, who were now running The Rovers. After Tricia got drunk one night, Terry escorted her home with pregnancy resulting.

Jack offered her money for an abortion but Tricia refused and instead Jack and Vera took in her and her son Jamie. The baby was born five weeks premature on Valentine's day 1997 in the back room of the pub, with Betty Williams acting as midwife. Tricia named him Brad after Brad Pitt and wasted no time in bouncing back at life, taking up with Ray Thorpe who she met in a club. He was quickly dropped when Terry reappeared on the scene but he had no interest in either her or his son and so pretty soon Tricia and her kids moved out of the Rovers and went to live on the other side of Weatherfield with Ray.

Are there any other missing children out there that we haven't seen or heard about for a while? There's one of Ken's kids, Daniel Osbourne, who made an all too brief appearance a while back and didn't Kevin Webster have another child sometime? I think he was called Jack.

Tommy Duckworth gets a Corrie windfall

With thanks to the fab Inside Soap magazine this week, there are hints of storylines to come for Tommy Duckworth. As we might know already, Tommy and Tina are getting together.  And Inside Soap say that Tommy comes into a windfall when his grandad Jeff Horton, dies.

The magazine says: "When Tommy finds out about inheriting the cash, he's shocked  and he doesn't know what to do. He asks Tyrone for advice and he tells Tommy to spend it on something nice for him and Tina. But then Tommy turns up with a clapped-out camper van and announces that he wants to go travelling the world with Tina by his side."

Now then, my guess is that Jeff Horton's death will be what sparks the return of Tommy's dad, Terry Duckworth and that the only reason Terry will return is to either find out if Jeff has left him any money, or that he knows Jeff's estate has been left to Tommy and he comes back to Corrie to find the cash.

So, again I'm guessing here folks, could this cash then be what leads to Terry opening the lap-dancing club on Coronation Street? And if it is, does that mean Tommy and Terry go into business together? 

This could be really interestng because the only person who knows what a horror Terry Duckworth can be is Tyrone. Let's hope that Tommy and Tyrone's friendship is such that Tommy follows whatever advice Tyrone gives him when he meets up with his dad for the first time since he was a baby.

Terry Duckworth to return to the cobbles

This just in from ITV, bad boy Terry Duckworth is set to make an "explosive" return to Weatherfield. I guess that means we will be "reeling" when we find out why he's back.

But it's true, Terry apparently has a big reveal which will cause some ructions. He also doesn't realise that his son, Tommy, has been living there and that's going to bring father and son conflict with Tommy finding out the truth about his dad. It seems to me Tommy already knows what a waster Terry is, if he's not been bothered to be in any contact with him all his life.

Nigel Pavaro is tickled to be returning to Coronation Street and this fan always enjoyed seeing what kind of aggro RTerreh causes. Oh, come on, you all stood up and cheered that time Gary Mallet thumped him at Christmas one year when he was being so insensitive about Judy's death! He's such a tosser, isn't he? He's a classic Panto villain and I enjoy watching his arrogant moustache twirling.

Chris Fountain on Tommy's future on Coronation Street

Chris Fountain has given a good, long interview to Digital Spy about playing Tommy Duckworth on Coronation Street.

I'm no fan of Tommy because let's face it, he's not done much since he turned up at Tyrone's door, has he?  But in the last few weeks Tommy's been a good, solid character while Tyrone's been messed about by Kirsty and I've been impressed by the character for at least doing that, if not much else.

Corrie Producer Phil Collinson has already threatened promised us that Tommy and Tina will get together this year and that they'll "become the new Jack and Vera".  Well, we'll see about that.

Chris has been nominated in the National TV Awards for Best Newcomer and he also speaks about that in the interview.  You can read the whole interview here.

Corrie Review - Monday 5th December 2011

Karl is off to work earlier to help Lloyd until Fat Brenda arrives. Stella says she'll pop and see him later to see how he is copying with the paperwork and receipts. Karl agrees to help Stella later at the Rovers as there is a hen party. When Stella arrives at number 13 she finds Lloyd not coping at all well and the house in a tip. She manages to sort out all the receipts and paperwork ready for Lloyd to send off to the auditors. Meanwhile Karl has dropped off a fare at the casino and he can't resist going inside with his earnings and having a flutter. Despite his phone ringing Karl keeps on betting and winning. He then takes all his winnings to the roulette table and puts it all on black. However he is horrified when it lands on red causing him to lose everything.

Sophie and Sian are planning their wedding. Sally reminds them that she'll be the one footing the bill and that all the preparation is far from romantic. Sophie jokes that they'll be wearing matching dungarees. Sally turns around in a look of horror and Sian tells her that Sophie is joking. Sunita tells Sophie she'll sort her out with some extra shifts at the corner shop and that'll she make sure they don't clash with Amber's shifts.

Tyrone is eating healthy cereal for breakfast much to the amusement of Tommy when Tina arrives downstairs and asks if anyone has seen her perfume as it has gone missing. Kirsty admits to accidentally breaking it and gives Tina forty pounds for a new bottle. When Tina tells Tommy she's taking Rita's car in, Kirsty looks shifty and leaves the room. Tommy volunteers to come into town with her as he needs to pop to the bank. As they leave the shop they are horrified to find Rita's car is being towed away. Tina speaks to the police officer and nearly gets arrested as she argues with him, determined that it's a set up. A phone call to the clamping company later means that Tina and Tommy have to travel all the way to Rochdale and pay a £170 fine. Tina voices her suspicions that it was HER car that towed away and suggests that Kirsty had something to do with it. She's extremely late getting the car back to Rita, who isn't impressed as she was going to give a lift to Dennis to see some old friends.

Kirk reveals to Carla and Michelle that the material for Frank's Laydon order has arrived at Underworld by accident and wonders whether he should take it to Frank's factory. Carla tells him to leave it and that she'll sort it. Meanwhile Frank has noted his material hasn't arrived and after a phone call to the suppliers he learns it's gone to Underworld. Sally and Anne go to collect it but Carla and Michelle deny all knowledge of the delivery and Kirk has accidentally and very conveniently forgotten all about it. While in the Rovers, Anne and Sally are horrified when they see Sean flouting a piece of Frank's expensive material around his arm as a hankerchief. Sally argues with Carla and calls a liar in front of everyone. Anne says that in a few weeks after the trial she'll be outed as the liar in public. Carla quietly turns around and walks straight out of the pub.

Frank is calm about the theft of his material and he'll call Laydon to get the order delayed. He offers to take Sally and Anne out to dinner but Sally declines preferring to stay at the factory to get some work done. Later Sally hears footsteps and finds it's Frank come back. He reveals to Sally that Anne told him about how she tackled Carla in the Rovers over the Laydon order. He tells her that he really appreciates her support. She is quiet when Frank asks if she believes Carla's accusations of rape. He realises he shouldn't have asked and tells Sally she should get home. Before she walks out of the door, she turns around tells Frank that she does believe him over Carla and she doesn't believe he raped her. When she gets home she gets a simple text from Frank thanking her leading her to smile quietly to herself.

Emily is organising a memorial service to mark one year since the tram crash that killed Ashley and Molly and which also led to Peter nearly being crippled. She asks Peter whether he'll be able to make a speech. Peter's reluctant but with gentle persuasion from Leanne he agrees. Later while Emily is having tea with Ken, Deirdre, Peter and Leanne she recollects the night of the tram crash and how it was the sounds of what happened more than anything else that she still remembers. With it all weighing on Peter's mind, he feigns a headache and makes an exit. Bumping into Carla, he reveals his fears about his speech and how it is leading him to want to drink. Carla reveals that she's still trying to pick herself up after Frank's rape. Later on her own in the flat, Carla hears the door downstairs and she quickly bolts her doors before reaching into the fridge to settle her nerves. Meanwhile Peter is in his flat struggling to write the speech. Leanne asks him to come to bed but a clearly distracted Peter declines. Leanne tells him that everything will be alright and goes off to bed but as she leaves the room, Peter rips the page out of his notepad and crumples it up.

Sunita has booked the church hall for the kids nativity and her and Leanne meet to decide who should play each role. Both ladies want the best parts for their kids and unable to agree with write names on pieces of paper in the corner shop and randomly allocate roles. Faye gets the role of Mary and Asha gets Angel Gabriel much to Leanne's delight. The smirk is wiped off her face when she picks the piece of paper that gives Aadi the role of Joseph which means that Simon is the innkeeper. They ask Carla at Underworld to make the costumes, to which she agrees and the scene is set.

With Karl missing and Tina pre-occupied with getting Rita's car back, Stella is on her own in the Rovers with a hen night on. Lloyd steps in to help behind the bar and soon it's running smoothly. However the hen, Mandy, starts choking on a nut and Kirk uses his skills to get her to cough it up. He hits it off with Mandy and revealing that she isn't looking forward to the wedding that much, she asks Kirk to walk her home. She's soon quickly dragging him out of the door. At the end of the night Stella and Lloyd lock up and stay in the bar for a drink where Stella bemoans the missing Karl and tells Lloyd about the times in the past when he played away. Lloyd gets the wrong signals from Stella and thinks she is coming on to him and he leans in for a kiss. Horrified, Stella backs away and Lloyd feels a fool and he makes a quick exit when the door knocks as a now skint Karl arrives back who lies about running out of petrol on a taxi job. Walking slowly back home, Lloyd feels an absolute fool for what's happened - but what will happen now?

Highlights

Leanne: "Deirdre got the sherry out. Hey, I'll tell you what. Emily doesn't half liven up once she's had a few."

Stella (on the phone to Karl: "Actually I don't care where you are. Just as soon as you get this message get your useless backside back to the pub, understand?"

Tina: "I'm looking for my bottle of perfume, where's it gone?"
Tommy: "Hey, don't look at me, ask Tyrone. Got something to tell us mate?"

Lowlights

The smug look on Michelle's face when faced with Anna and Sally. It's stooping down to Frank's level. They should have just thrown the silk in a muddy puddle outside of his factory instead. How much did I want to smack Michelle during the scene?

Sean: "Bye darlings, don't be strangers." HOW ANNOYING WAS THIS DELIVERED???

Should Tina and Tommy get together in Corrie?

There's a very mini-spoiler in today's Sun that suggests Tina and Tommy start to thaw towards each other. The Coronation Street spoiler doesn't say anything more than that but the tabloid suggets it could be the start of something between the two of them, again.

It also says that "fans have been waiting for these two to get back together".  Have we? Have you? I haven't.

I think Tommy Duckworth is a complete waste of space and if the writers don't do something with Tina's character soon, she's going to end up the same way.
