Blanche is the only one I can recall enjoying a bit of reading, usually a big fat novel and usually in the bath. Bring back Mel Hutchwright and let the book club begin again!

Corrie actors back Manchester Book Award 2009
Alison King (Carla Connor), Gray O'Brien (Tony Gordon), Julie Hesmondhalgh (Hayley Cropper) and Andy Whyment (Kirk Sutherland) are backing this year's Manchester Book Award, it says here. Find out more about the award, open to 11-14 year olds across Manchester at the website here.
