Ex-Corrie actor joins Celebrity Big Brother 2011

Lucien Laviscount, who played Sophie Webster's boyfriend Ben Richardson, has joined the housemates in the Celebrity Big Brother house of 2011.

Where have you seen Sophie Webster's boyfriend before?

Lucien Laviscount is the tall, dark and handsome bit of eye-candy for the younger Corrie fans who's turned up on Coronation Street as Sophie Webster's boyfriend, Ben.

Lucien attends the Carol Godby Theatre Workshop in Bury and before Corrie he starred in the Disney Channel teen comedy sketch show Life Bites. He also starred in Grange Hill and even modelled ex-England captain David Beckham’s DB 07 clothing range. He's appeared in Clocking Off and starred in the time travel film Johnny and the Bomb. He's said that his dream is: "to be in a feature film and I would love nothing more than to play a superhero like Hancock by my idol Will Smith.”

Sister Sophie Webster's chastity vow

Could it be Sophie Webster's latest cry for attention on Coronation Street? She's going to find religion (I wonder where it was hidden?) when her new boyfriend Ben Richardson - pictured - played by Lucien Laviscount, arrives on the Street.

News in from the official Corrie site today is that two teenagers are joining the Coronation Street cast. Actors Lucien Laviscount and Sacha Parkinson will play Sophie Webster's new mates Ben and Sian.
