Vacancy for a Friday night episode reviewer for fortnightly reviews, sharing Friday review duties with our blogger Richard Whitbread.

Do you love writing and blogging as much as you love Corrie?  We're always looking for more bloggers to join our writing team. We want to ensure we don't miss blogging any news, gossip, fun stuff, competitions and merchandise that fans will be interested to know about.

If you fancy joining the writing team here on the Coronation Street blog, please email me with a short piece that you think would be fun to include on the blog and we'll take it from there with you. If you're reading this then you already know our style here on the blog - fun, irreverent - and most of all, our love of Corrie shines through.

You will need to know how to use blogger. Why not try creating your own blog at http://www.blogger.com/ and when you're familiar with how it works including putting pictures and links in, do let us know.

Wanted: Coronation Street Friday episode blogger

Our blogger Jordan has done a fantastic job over many years writing the Friday night episode reviews and I would publicly like to thank him for all the hard work that he's done.

It's no easy task, writing episode reviews.  And understandably, life comes first and Jordan has decided it's time to call it a day writing the Friday episode reviews although he firmly remains part of our blogging team and will appear from time to time with his insight and wit.

However, this means there's a vacancy on the blog team for a Friday night episode reviewer. If you fancy it - and do think long and hard before you email me - then we'd love to have you on the team. It's not every Friday night that we need your reviews, it's every other Friday as the Friday night reviews are shared with the wonderful Kosmo. So it's a fortnightly commitment. If you're up for the challenge, you love writing as much as you love Coronation Street, then do please get in touch with me at glenda.sunderland@gmail.com.

But be warned, the first thing I'll ask you to do is learn how to use Blogger inside and out. So you may wish to learn that before you apply. Also, there's no pay... but there are perks, oh yes!

Blogger Wanted: 5 Things We Learned from Classic Corrie

Our wonderful blogger Graeme is taking a break from all things Coronation Street as he concentrates on his fab Carry on Films Blog.

This means that there's a vacancy on our team for someone to take up the mantle to represent all things Classic Coronation Street.

All we'd like is for a fan who is currently watching Classic Coroantion Street on ITV3 to write one post each week called 5 Things We Learned in Classic Corrie This Week. 

The post just needs to be short and sweet, with screengrabs if possible, and an eye for five irreverent and fun things you've spotted each week.

I'm looking for someone with the time, patience and inclination to rustle up a few of the recipes from the old Coronation Street cookbook - and blog about them with pictures too.

Sixth episode reviewer needed for Coronation Street Blog

We need you!  As Coronation Street gear up to show their sixth episode per week later this year, we're on the hunt for another Blogger.

Bloggers wanted for two Coronation Street events

If you're reading this and you're planning on going to either of these two Coronation Street events, do please let us know as we'd love to hear from you.

The first one is TRANSCRIPT - The development of trans and gay characters, from script to screen.

Join Coronation Street Writers Damon Rochefort and Ben Tagoe, Coronation Street Actor Bruno Langley (Todd Grimshaw), former Coronation Street and Cucumber Actress Julie Hesmondhalgh (Hayley Cropper), and Cucumber Actress Bethany Black as they discuss the concept and development of transgender characters in soaps and how the story moves from script to screen.

Brought to you by Manchester Pride in partnership with ITV, the event will be held on Tuesday 25 August, 7pm at Black Dog Ball Room, NWS (New Wakefield Street), Manchester.

And the second one is the All TV is Soap event at this year's Edinburgh International TV Festival on Friday August 28th 2015. 

Corrie producer Stuart Blackburn and Sally Ann Matthews, who played Jenny Bradley, will be speaking at the All TV is Soap session. 

Ex-Corrie archivist and scriptwriter, author and BAFTA-winning Daran Little (who wrote The Road to Coronation Street) will also be speaking at the session. Daran now writes for EastEnders.

Wanted: Wednesday reviewer for Coronation Street Blog

We're looking for a Coronation Street fan to write brief reviews / recaps of Wednesday night Corrie episodes.   

You must be able to use Blogger - including putting in pictures and links. Ideally, you'll already have your own blogspot site that we can take a look at to ensure you're au fait with the workings and the what-nots.
