Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 27th Feb 8.30 pm

As promised, here is part two of Wednesday's Corrie, all wrapped up in a handy blog review.

Tracy tells Steve that Amy has had a miscarriage and Amy lies, telling her mum she went to the hospital three days ago. Feeling guilty, Tracy wishes she and Steve had been there for, but Amy tells her that Bethany was by her side.

At No. 8, Shona finally admits to David about the DVD and the drugs deal. Realising that they can't overcome Clayton, he decides it's time she left the house for good.

Brian struggles to rescue Daniel's essay conclusion and admits defeat. Facing the truth, he decides it's time to tell Daniel (via Sinead) on a visit to the Rovers. All is saved anyway as Daniel had the essay backed-up and hastily emails his work to university, which Brian has completed.

Also at the Rovers, Kevin admits to Sally that he took the cash, and used it to pay for Jack's digital detox trip. Gina, however, still decides its time to leave Weatherfield for Newcastle, but not before taking some time to contemplate in the community garden. Soon consoled by Kevin, Gina's mind is changed and her ex-brother-in-law offers her a place to stay at his house. Sally meanwhile, tells Tim that she is unconvinced of Gina's innocence.

Billy tells David about the funeral fracas leading David to reconcile his anger. Although supported by Gail, Shona soon has a visit from the police.

Gemma thanks Rita for letting Paul stay and tells her all about the new bail hostel. Rita fills Claudia in on the new bail hostel which they both denounce. Billy, however, being the professional Christian, disagrees with the raving redheads.

Tracy goes ballistic at Bethany about the 'miscarriage' until Bethany coaxes Amy into telling her that she actually had an abortion after all. Amy also admits the truth to Steve.  Tracy and Steve feel guilt at being selfish and ignoring their daughter's plight.

Questioned by a detective, Shona tells them that she doesn't know where Clayton is, and she probably isn't a target for the fugitive either, yet Clayton remains on the run. With Lily poorly, Shona heads to David's car to take some medicine over to Nick. Getting in the car, Clayton is hiding behind the driver seat, and pleads with his mum to drive!

Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 27th Feb 7.30pm

Welcome to Wednesday's edition of Coronation Street. Back to two episodes this week, so let's recap on the mid-week drama.

It's breakfast at the McDonalds' with Steve and Tracy ever excited about Amy's baby. Little do her parents know, that there is no baby. With a scan due, Tracy takes the day off work and promises to pamper her 'pregnant' daughter.

Shona is struggling to make it up with Gail and David, with Clayton still on the run from prison. David wonders if Clayton will make contact, and seeks Nick's advice.

Feeling perturbed by Shona, Nick admits to his brother about his girlfriend's recent drugs drop, and about his doubts about Clayton's prison break.  David fumes and rushes to Shona to seek answers.

Over at Rita's, Paul is slowly outstaying his welcome and since three weeks have passed, she tells Gemma that it's time he moved on. Admitting the truth to her brother, Paul lets Gemma know that a bail hostel is about to open soon, and near Coronation Street.

Daniel's immersed in the MA, and struggling with his deadline, Sinead ropes in Brian in a bid to help him complete the essay in time. Brian swiftly takes over Daniel's essay while the new father visits baby Bertie. What's the worse that could happen? Brian is what happens when he drowns Daniel's laptop in coffee!

At the salon, Amy is being pampered by Maria, as a treat from Tracy. With new friend Bethany also in the salon (and knowing the truth), can she convince her friend that it's time her mum knew about the abortion? Amy becomes upset and flees before her blow dry is finished. Upon her return, Tracy pours predictable scorn over Bethany and Maria and then goes to find Amy.

Sophie tells Sally that Gina is leaving for Newcastle having become tired of the arguments and the missing money scandal. Sally, unconvinced of her sister's guilt, is still not swayed by Sophie's defence of her aunt. As Gina is about to leave the street, Kevin makes a sudden return and admits he accidentally took the cash from the brown envelope.

Storming into Roy's Rolls,  David admits to Shona that he knows about her contact with Clayton and the drug drop.

Back at the McDonalds' flat, Amy tells Tracy that she can't have the scan as there is no baby. Tracy assumes she's had a miscarriage, and Amy doesn't tell her otherwise.

Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 20th Feb 7.30pm

Welcome to Wednesday's edition of the Coronation Street Blog. Just one episode tonight, due to the 'BRITS' so let's delve into this week's mid-week drama.

Amy leaves Ken's for the day, as Steve and Tracy continue to argue, oblivious to what Amy has planned. Arriving home, Amy is non-plussed about spending the school holidays with her parents. Craig and Bethany offer the gymslip mum some advice, but it seems she is continuing with her plan to terminate the pregnancy. Fearful of her trip to the clinic, Amy invites Bethany to go with her.

Sophie collars Kevin about Jack's school trip and begs him to let her help pay. Kevin's male pride continues to get in the way. Whilst Tyrone has to swallow his pride, and ropes in Ruby in a plan to apologise properly to Mary. The plan, although failing, does seem to bring the lonesome duo back together.

At Underworld, Beth is getting tired fixing up Kate's wedding dress. Sean decides that a night out is what the gang need. Sally is up for it, as long as Gina isn't invited. Gina's guilt is obvious, and Sally is still unforgiving. Gina proposes a party to Sophie, in hope of getting her sister back on side.
Meanwhile, the brides-to-be are reunited when Kate returns from visiting her sick cousin. Rana, meanwhile, has been busy getting the wedding invitations sent out.

Whilst Amy heads to the clinic for a termination, Steve decides to surprise Tracy with a house viewing on Victoria Street. Both remain completely unaware of Amy's resolve, and argue over Oliver, instead.

As the charred wreckage of 'Lost Bouy' is towed away from the street, Abi admits her sailing sadness to Roy. Casually overhearing, Peter seems to think that Abi is talking about him! Wishing to kiss and makeup, Peter's conceited (thanks Roy!) behaviour fails to win his ex-shipmate over.

With the wedding invites dished out, it seems Rana has invited the whole of Weatherfield, much to Kate's dismay.

Amy returns from her appointment at the clinic with Bethany. As Steve and Tracy celebrate winning a bid on the house, Amy appears to be ill with stomach cramps. Has she really terminated the pregnancy?

Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 13th Feb 8.30pm

As promised, here is part two of this Wednesday's Corrie, all wrapped up in a handy blog review.


A distraught Abbie confronts Peter in the pub about his 'lost buoy' lies. Abbie, wounded once again, drowns her sorrows. Is she going to be ok?.

At the hospital, Shona battles Clayton over the failed drug deal. Resenting her new life, Clayton tells his mother to leave.
Back home, David quizzes Shona about Claytons beating. Deciding to take Shona out to dinner, has David matured enough to forget about Clayton murdering his wife?

On board 'lost buoy' Adi and Asha leave Simon alone, making sure the nautical gas lamp is blown out.. or is it?. Simon relaxes on the boat, with his headphones in.

At Chesney's, it looks like Gemma is finally going to get that quickie, until Joseph, angry at no bedtime stories, foul mouths his Dad. It's lucky that the car drove past at the exact moment!.

Realising that Gemma has taught Joseph some of her fruity vocabularies, we witness the first argument between Corrie's newest lovebirds. Gemma consults love guru Brian, who gives a Freudian suggestion of unconscious thought processes, completely confusing Gemma!.

Outside of the boat, an unseen person seems to sit port side and knocks over the gas lamp, which hasn't been blown out properly and the boat catches fire!!!!. Poor Simon, first the bookies, now a boat!.

At Ty's, Mary is still playing housemaid, but has Kevin clocked other intentions?...it is almost Valentine's day, after all.

Waking to a suffocating stream of smoke and fire, Simon is overcome by fumes. Heading to the factory fire escape, Peter rushes onboard to save his son. With the fire brigade on their way, nearby residents are evacuated. Kevin Webster blasts his fire extinguisher to put out the flames, and Simon is saved.

Carla cradles a frightened Peter, as the fire licks underworlds signage. Flamin' Nora!.

Is this the end of Peters Kefalonia dream, and who was the mystery fire starter?.

Out on the street, the firemen arrive, just as Gail escapes her house, which has also caught fire!.

Peter immediately comes to one conclusion - Abi. Has his vengeful former flame drunkenly torched the boat?. It will be interesting to find out. Keep your eyes on this blog, more for revelations!.
