On our latest podcast, we chat about the Weathearfield drama taking place between the 2nd and the 9th October (Episodes #11,954 - #11,958).
Progress! Actual, meaningful progress in the Platt story this week! Sure, the stalemate that Jodie, David and Shona found themselves in by the end of Friday’s episode still left the psycho sister with the upper hand, but at least her nefarious plot to seduce her brother-in-law is out in the open, her trinket box has been discovered and we finally got to see how the gun she’s been keeping hidden in her handbag all these weeks would come into play. But with Bethany still trying to keep her fling with Kit a secret and Sarah’s trial looming on the horizon, there’s plenty more Platt drama to come... Also this week, Sam makes the ill-advised decision to try and steal £6,000 from right under Idris’ nose, Summer stands by her man despite everyone advising her to steer clear and Christina pinches Rachel’s ashes - a few more engaged brains certainly wouldn’t have gone amiss on the Street this week!
Up next on the podcast, it's The Kabin, where we take a look at who's been nominated in this year's TV Choice Awards, and we finish things off with a rummage through the listener mailbag.

Also this week, we chat with Corrie superfan-turned-tour-guide Jamie Aston, who’s kindly agreed to come on for a natter about his love of the cobbles and his recent foray into showing guests around the Coronation Street set every weekend. If you’re on Instagram or TikTok, you may recognise Jamie from his excellent impressions of the likes of Ken, Blanche and, of course, David Platt, so we also chat about how he brings those characters to life - and whether his online fame has led to him being recognised while giving a tour!
