Episode Review Friday 10 October 2025

We have a couple of classic Coronation Street scenes in amongst the mayhem this evening.  Abi has nowhere else to be but staying in Carl's room - which is not music to Debbie's ears.  Debbie wants Abi (and I assume Carl) to move right away (she suggests Greenland) - but Carl is not prepared to leave Debbie's side.  Kev does not feel like opening the garage today - he is too depressed - so Abi goes around but gets short shrift as they argue and Kev demands her key.  Kev decides the time has come to de-Abi-fy 13 Coronation Street and her clothes go out the of upstairs window in an absolutely classic display.  Jack returns from school and asks if Kev needs any help but he responds that it is finished.  George rescues the underwear and Leanne (looking very tanned) hands Abi a roll of black bags for her possessions.

Theo has Noah's funeral today.  To cover a medical appointment Todd lies to Theo about being double booked for funerals himself - Billy then attends the hospital with Todd as he needs an inspection of his posterior.  On their return Todd and Billy are whispering in the Rovers when Theo comes in and it becomes a running sore as to the content of their private discussion.  Todd, Theo and eventually Billy join George and Christina's date at the Bistro where the running sore erupts and Christina sticks her oar in leading to Todd barking at her and defending Theo; then Todd and Theo leave.  Theo is allegedly turned on by Todd's defence of him and I think we leave them to get on with it., except that Theo reads a text from Billy to Todd and we do not see what actually happens.

Along at the Kate Oates Memorial Hospital, Asha is telling Dev that no matter what she cannot return to her job as a paramedic.  She is not interested in doing a jigsaw of matchstick men and shows little interest in anything.  Dev is insistent on private counselling - but Asha is willing to wait for whatever the state can provide because she knows that money is tight and they are selling the chip shop.

Tim is pretty fed up with the way that Brian and Sally are interpreting his consensual relations with Trisha many years ago as they feel Tim was groomed (Tim gives Sally a quick bit of history as Sally thinks there is something going on).  After all the age difference between Tim and Trisha was the same as the one between him and Sally and so perhaps she groomed him as well?  I hope Tim is able to convince all concerned that the past was nearly 40 years ago.  In Speed Dahl Kev gives Leanne and Tim the benefit of his experience - he knows that he lost Abi and Sally by not treating them right and tells them not to make the same mistake.  Tim listens and in a chat with Trisha, he makes it clear that because of their history and that he loves Sally he feels they should not see each other and she departs somewhat crestfallen.

Kev goes to the Rovers but R'Glenda talks him out of alcohol and instead has a chat in the back room.  Inevitably in a classic misunderstanding she picks up a cup and he leans towards her.  Both instantly back off and Kev feels very embarrassed.  Glenda sent for Debbie and she follows Kev home where she lets slip that she knew about Abi and Carl last week so she is instantly ejected from the Webster residence.

Go on Debbie - kick a man when he is already down!  As he throws Debbie out - also throwing her coat at her he spies Carl and Abi hand in hand and he tells all three of them that he does not to see or speak to them.  If they see on t'Street they are to cross to the other side and avoid him.  Debbie wants to explain herself but gets nowhere.   Debbie calls Abi toxic destroying everything that comes in her way and that she hopes Abi rots in hell for what she has done.

I have to hope that is the end of Trisha and a grooming storyline - but will Brian report her or will she start stalking Tim - there are various possibilities.  Now when will Abi find out about Carl and James?  I reckon with the month because Carl has no reason to stay given the upset Debbie has suffered.  Asha needs a kick up the bum, to pull herself together and get back to work.  I cannot understand why Theo would have wanted to attend Noah's funeral - is there something I am missing?  Some of these questions may be answered next week.
