Watch: Barbara Knox interview with ITV's Lorraine
The legend that is Barbara Knox (Rita Tanner in Coronation Street) was interview today on ITV's Lorraine and what a joy it was.
Barbara looked and sounded amazing. She's 84 now and says that working definitely keeps her brain ticking over.
She spoke about Rita's recent brain tumour storyline and acknowledged the #SaveRita campaign that was trending on twitter, started by Paul Lanagan of @CorrieArt.
Barbara also revealed a few secrets from her first years on the Street working with the legends such as Pat Phoenix. She said that on her first day on the set she was so nervous that she couldn't speak and lost her voice. "They must've thought they'd got a new idiot," she told Lorraine.
It's a wonderful interview and you can watch it all here.
