CARLA CONNOR RETURNS TO WEATHERFIELD. Unable to match Matthew Singh’s bid for underworld Aidan makes the decision to go into business with him. When Alya discovers that Aidan’s proposed new business partner Matthew Singh has no plans to give the old workforce back their jobs Aidan reluctantly decides to pursue his last available option to save the factory and the jobs. Aidan waits alone in a bar as Carla Connor walks in. Explaining how the business is on the brink of collapse Aidan appeals to Carla to save the factory - how will she react?

CHRISTMAS SPIRIT HAS AN UNEXPECTED EFFECT ON STEVE AND TRACY Steve is amused when Tracy gets out a hip flask at the carol concert to help the get through it and the tipsy pair giggle like naughty schoolchildren! Back at the Rovers Tracy is amused when she learns that Steve has used an app to find his perfect woman and the photofit looks like her. His bid to prove her wrong is disastrous as he fails to pull an attractive woman leaving a drunken Tracy to pounce and drag him back to number 1!
