Meet Corrie writer Jonathan Harvey at Archway Festival this week

Coronation Street writer Jonathan Harvey will be appearing at The Archway with Words festival on Friday 14 October.

He'll be talking about his new novel The History of Us, as well as about writing for Coronation Street.

Jonathan now has over 100 credits on the show to his name – he says it is very much a team effort. “There are 18 writers so it’s hard to be really precise about how stories evolve, but cliffhangers are important,” he says.

However, he admits there is a golden rule he sticks to. “One of my favourite mottos applies: make ’em laugh, make ’em cry, make ’em wait!”
