This is great news for fans of Daniel Brocklebank, who plays Billy the Vicar on Coronation Street.
Daniel has signed up to Corrie to play vicar Billy Mayhew for a further 12 months.
He revealed the news to Bang Showbiz writer Hayley Minn at last night's Attitude magazine awards ceremony in London.
Amen to that.

Oh that is good news! And great news for Sean, hopefully they will be happy ever after. But wait, this is Corrie, so I won't hold my breath! LOL
It doesnt mean he will be happy ever after with Sean, especially if Terrible Todd has has way
Great news, but I hope in a few months time the script writers don't decide to invent him a psychotic side, or some skeleton in his closet. Just develop him as a nice person please!
Sean also signed uр till august 2016 - maybe they'll leave together?
Oh i'm glad. I really like Billy.
@Anon 19:17 - or stay together.
Yay! Great character and actor.
Daniel Brocklebank is an excellent actor - the guy who plays Callum could learn a lot from him.
