Billy the Vicar signs up to Corrie for another year

This is great news for fans of Daniel Brocklebank, who plays Billy the Vicar on Coronation Street.

Daniel has signed up to Corrie to play vicar Billy Mayhew for a further 12 months.

He revealed the news to Bang Showbiz writer Hayley Minn at last night's Attitude magazine awards ceremony in London.

Amen to that.

  3. Great news, but I hope in a few months time the script writers don't decide to invent him a psychotic side, or some skeleton in his closet. Just develop him as a nice person please!

  8. Daniel Brocklebank is an excellent actor - the guy who plays Callum could learn a lot from him.
