Corrie weekly awards: March 5 - 9

This is love?

Actually, no, this is love...
Matchmaker award: Tina gently nudged Rita and Dennis together.

Everyone's a Sherlock award: The police are innundated with "helpful" people giving them tips on who could have done it. And everyone else is nosing around earwigging, sweeping wet pavements, anything to find out any little detail about the investigation.

Technical fail award: Satellite dishes are *receivers* not transmitters. They couldn't possibly muck up the Streetcars radio!

Over the top award: Seriously. Satellite dishes are a third of that size these days. Is Karl hoping to pick up Australia's games too? I think "Tez" sold him a 10 year old dish!

You're not losing your factory, you're gaining one award. Why is Carla so nostalgic about selling the factory? She was going to start up again with Jenny's "massive order"... at least she thought so.

Deja Vu award: Sally got cheated on again!
Deja Vu Deja Vu award: Another dead body in the factory!

Faulty memory award: Carla says, sentimentally, she's got a lot of memories. Dead bodies. Fire. Explosions. Murder. Yes. lots.

Out of character award: Sunita's first trip to a casino and it's with a man that isn't Dev? I'll say this, though, she enjoyed the attention!

Witch hunt award: Black star: It doesn't take much to suspect Lewis of theft. He's got prior but it was too obvious to be him.
Cliche star: The one arrested is never the one that's dunnit.

Moral Compass fail award: Eileen and Paul dining out a few hours after Lesley scalded herself. Yes, Marcus is capable and trained but it really just leaves me creeped out. Someone call Social Services! (Thanks to JB in Canada for reminding me of this one!)

Lines of the Week:
Deirdre to Peter "I've got two words to say to you. Deja. Vu."
Sally to Kevin "You're worth 10 of him (Frank) and that's saying something"
Jenny "Are the workers distraught?" Frank "Not half as distraught as they'll be when I sack them all next week"
Frank to Anne "I've got my life back. I don't need you." (Harsh)
Frank to Leanne "Me and you, we're victims" (Well, you are, for sure!)
Tina "Norris wouldn't welcome a sunny day"
Rita to Dennis "I don't need hearts and flowers. Just a question."
Peter "As an alibi, amnesia really sucks"
Lewis "The jungle drums have been busy."
Sean "Seven long years and almost as many bosses!"

Oh groan look who’s back award: Sean is back overacting as usual, when he hasn’t been missed one iota. I thought he was in London with Dylan, why is he a strange orange colour and banging on about sipping Pina coladas? What a nerve just expecting to move in with Maria and Kirk and little Liam in that tiny flat. I think the only person that likes this character is Phil Collinson.

Big Fat Risk Award: Frank was a rapist and a character not to be messed with so why did Carla, Sally and Michelle all separately go back to the factory at night where they knew they would be alone with him – DAH! Doesn’t make any sense to Frosty.

What’s happened to Jenny award: She turned up at the end of the contract signing but has now disappeared into thin air. Hm

Becoming Very Tiresome now award; Peter and Carla and their descent into the depths. I really don’t like either of them.

Vile Couple Award: A toss up between Carla and Peter and Paul and Eileen whose character has been ruined by this Alzheimer’s story. Boozing in the Bistro after poor Lesley scalded herself. Ug.

Happy Story at Last Award:: Rita and Dennis getting together, makes a change from all the misery.

Are you an employee or co-owner award: What gives Eva the right to help herself to cash from the till without asking anyone? Cue the tiresome Lewis was incorrectly blamed story. Boring in the extreme.

Another unlikely couple award: Karl and Sunita. The whole Alahan tribe should have been written out years ago.
