Excitement is building for tonight's live Coronation Street episode. It's on for an hour and starts at 8pm on ITV.
The Sun's front page headline today screams: Al-Qaeda Alert At Corrie! Although how true the story is about police throwing a ring of steel around Granada TV, well, who knows?
Anyway, it's writer Jan McVerry who's written tonight's live episode and there's a great interview with Jan - read it here, it's definitely worth a look.

Why do all the papers keep saying it's only the second live episode in the show's history? It started in 1960 airing live and did so for months!
Because anyone under 30 (most trashy reporters) can't imagine history older than themselves.
Never known so little interest in TV history.
where is Sally's hard hat???
