I hope the writers are not going to kill off Joseph in yet another medical issue storyline.It was difficult viewing seeing Oliver get killed off and be replaced by Sam.

I agree that sometimes it can feel depressing.
I feel they're only bringing in certain illness to characters in order to 'raise issues.'
Yes, you can argue it's real life but if it was reflecting reality, why can all the characters be seen by their GP whenever they need to see one?
Why did the GP (with one woman band surgery) come out to see Carla on a home visit, just on the say-so of Roy and Peter?
Carla didn't request it, and she was the patient.
In reality, we'd be on the phone to a GP's receptionist for ages, asking for a home visit.
The reality of the situation is that we can't see a GP whenever we need to.
