Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 4th Dec 7.30 pm

It's the day of reckoning for Robert and Michelle's wedding, but will all go to plan? This cunning, conniving, and conning duo are now (ironically) more suitably matched than ever. A pairing of evil equals in slippery subterfuge. But with Michelle soon to be in sole control of the bistro, is she ready to go that one step further and humiliate Robert at the altar, in front of gathered friends and family?

Awake early, Michelle stumbles upon Robert just returning from a walk by the canal. Dressed in black, mud on boots, and acting shifty. Its all a bit suggestive, isn't it? A red herring, or has Robert done away with Vicky?

Paradoxically, the flurries of young love seem to be flourishing for new couple Emma & Seb.
But why does Seb then rebuff Emma's idea for a date? Is he playing it cool as Eileen suggests? no, he's not. He's got her tickets to see 'Bryan Maiden' - an Iron Maiden tribute act, as a surprise. I think Seb has got the hair to be a rocker but I can't see Emma moshing to 'Run to the Hills'myself?

As December dawns on Weatherfield, Billy and Sean have plans for a festive flat but Paul is triggered by Christmas trees, with memories of Kel's abuse, so Billy decides against it. As sanctimonious as ever, Sean is displeased at the lack of camp decorations! How is Billy managing to live with his new boyfriend and his ex?. Christian, it may be, but a good idea - hardly! With the cops calling him in to view the polaroids, Paul absconds from work. Contemplating in the community garden about giving evidence, David soon puts his mind at rest. Paul then decides its time to tell the factory staff of why he's absent and requesting days off.

Daniel isn't feeling very festive either. Grieving for Sinead, he immerses himself and little Bertie, in her posthumous video dairies. Is anybody else missing Sinead? I genuinely am!

At Church, my fave soap vicar (big Billy fan me), is at the helm at St Mary's and eager to host his first Weatherfield wedding (fact check - I'm unsure if it is)?
Great to see the vicar back in his cassock! At the altar, Robert gives an impassioned and honest paean in his vows (it's almost a plea, call me cynical) and it looks like the ice queen is about to melt. Fear not though, as Michelle faults not once, (a fine performance from Kym Marsh) and airs all of their dirty laundries, in front of gathered family and friends!

Classic soap wedding. Will they still get married or are this conniving duo finally over?

I'm sure we will find out more in my 8.30 pm episode review, speak in a bit!

Isn't Michelle a little long in the tooth for such an elaborate gown? Just saying.

I thought so too Anon. On the other hand, Carla looked amazing in that gorgeous red dress.

I really don't think that Vicky's dead,I think she will reappear when we least expect it.

Michelle's speech reminded me of Peter and Shelley's wedding when she introduced Peter's other wife, Lucy, to the congregation. I don't think Vicky's dead either; somehow her ex is involved.

I roll my eyes anytime anything to do with ‘the factory lot’ comes on. How many times have we seen Sally, Izzy and Sean with their arms folded taking it turns to say a line? I’ll answer my own question: too many!

If there's no body, then Vicky's not dead. I'm with Humpty above.
She'll show up at the 11th hour.
I'm actually looking forward to seeing this wedding, and seeing Robert squirm.
Reminds me also of Tyrone and Kirsty's wedding, where she called him out at the altar.

No, Shelley did not introduce Lucy to the congretation when she was married. It was not how people found out at all.

So a wedding is arranged at 24 hours notice, a major frock is conjured up out of nowhere, but the church is peppered with people we’ve never seen before..did they just walk in on the off chance? And how Is Daniel going to bring up child with no income? Folk are drifting in and out of the Rovers in December dressed for August. And as for the non-stop lying...I blame Donald Trump. His evil has no boundaries. And where did all those Christmas tree decorations come from? Oh, and once again, respect to the glycerine person, the hardest worker in the set!

BTW - Gary Windass’s table manners are as appalling as his acting. The wife says his cutlery handling won’t be acting - it’s how Mike North behaves!
