Jennie McAlpine, who plays Fiz Stape in Coronation Street, has confirmed she will be returning to the show when her maternity leave ends.
Speaking to the Humans of XS Manchester podcast, Jennie said that she has no plans to leave Corrie and that she's happy playing Fiz for as long as she's wanted on the show.
Jennie described acting on the show as the "easiest job in the world", but she's not taking it for granted.
She said: "I do love it. The thing is, you never, never know and I can't ever take it for granted because they (the writers) might have other ideas one day. But for now, I love it and I live in Manchester. I've got my life in Manchester and now two children in Manchester."
