Coronation Street's missed opportunities
Anyone else wondering how different life might have been for both Johnny and Liz if they'd got together in Coronation Street?
It's something I've thought about many times before, but after last Friday night when Liz acted as Johnny's confidante in the back room of the Rovers, I began to wonder why Corrie didn't put these two powerhouses together.
Don't get me wrong. I love Johnny and Jenny together and there's drama ahead for that pair, I'm certain. Her wedding is one I Do Not want to miss. But Liz and Johnny together could have worked, I feel and I'm going to put it down as one of Corrie's greatest missed opportunities.
Another missed opportunity, which I've blogged about earlier, has been not seeing Sean and Norris together at home. Their domestic set up could have been comedy gold and I'm sad we haven't seen it.

As soon as I saw the title of this post I thought of Norris and Sean!
Other possibilities: Liz and Erica behind the bar; Luke & Rosie; Lloyd & Mary (world music pals); Roy & Norris (train spotting pals); Audrey & Yasmeen (trips to London stores). That's for starters.
I also wished there scenes of Norris and Sean.
The Street needs light comedy too instead of the constant Platt dramas and affairs.
In light of Steve's and Leanne's one night stand,I don't think Liz and Johnny would've lasted.Michelle wouldn't like her uncle sleeping with the enemy so do speak and would make sure Johnny knows it!
I agree 100% that Liz and Johnny would have made a much better couple. Also agree with the other comments here, exploring/requesting other pairings that could spark our interest or bring humour to the Street. It does seem to be the same folk going around and around.
Luke and Rosie would be awesome
Have to agree, Sean & Norris would be comedy gold. Another great Pairing (or trio) would be if Mary, Adam, & Todd all worked at the lawfirm Barlow/Grimshaw/Taylor, yet I cringe when Mary falls for Adam's charms as she is smarter than that. Also, love the friendship between Todd and Tracey when he worked in the flower shop.
I didn't like the idea of Johnny & Liz, too predictable as she froths at the mouth whenever she sees a single guy(under or over fifty, doesn't matter) remember when she thought Robert was moving in? The ultimate cougar!
