Appearing in Corrie has been a lifelong dream for the popular comedian. "I'm really looking forward to acting in Corrie. It's a real thrill to be part of a British institution." he says.

His last appearance on TV (Comic Relief I think it was) he was absolutely dire.

The powers that be obviously learned nothing from when they had Paddy McGuiness on the programme
This guy really isn't funny. I only hope it's a few episodes and that he plays the straight guy, not the funny man
